Hi, guys! Happy Hump Day! I know this blog post is a little delayed since I’m highlighting events from the weekend, but they were just too good to to share and remember in the future! That said, here we go! Friday On Friday afternoon, my college friend Matt came to visit. We planned to go to see Dave Matthew’s Band later that evening, so we hung out at our place until it was time for…

What a blast! Put the Tel Aviv Night Run in my top 10 favorite races! Ok, so, truthfully, I’m typically not much of a night runner. I’m a grandma and usually go to bed before the race’s start time, but, wow, the energy at this 10k was something else. The second that we arrived at the event, you could FEEL it. It was quite the party atmosphere with lights and music, and it immediately made…

Hi, guys! I had such an amazing weekend in Albuquerque! Seriously, it was an unforgettable experience and so incredibly inspiring. I had the opportunity to attend Altitude Camp with Brooks Running and train with the Brooks Beasts. It was so cool to see what training like an elite runner is all about, including learning about their workouts, nutrition, coaching, and more. And, of course, I loved spending time and catching up with my favorite blog ambassadors, so…

Good morning! I hope everyone had a lovely Valentine’s Day! Mal and I celebrated with an early dinner at Scarlet Oak Tavern. We actually weren’t planning to do anything for the holiday, but then we forgot to use a gift certificate that we received for Christmas the last time we dined at Scarlet Oak, so we gave ourselves an “excuse” to visit again for Valentine’s Day. Hey, whatever works, right? 🙂 Mal and I met at the…

Hi, friends! I hope you had a very merry Christmas! Ours was absolutely awesome. Now, I know why parents love Christmas so much! Qman didn’t totally understand Santa, but he was sooooo excited about the “prizes” he received. Seriously, what a fun couple of days. I kind of wish Christmas was more than once a year! 🙂 Ok, so let’s recap our final days of 24 Days of Togetherness. I seriously can’t believe it’s over….

Happy Thanksgiving Eve, friends! Our friends gave us a Gratitude Jar at the beginning of 2016 as a way to remember the little things we are thankful for throughout the year. I figured the eve of Thanksgiving would be the perfect time to share what we’ve accumulated throughout the year. FYI: Some didn’t include dates on them, so I just listed them at the bottom of the list. 1/8: Podcasts 1/8: A job that gives me time…

Success! South Shore Half Marathon complete! And it was so much fun running it with friends! One of our friends lives near the start line of the race, so we walked over right before things kicked off promptly at 7:30 AM. We arrived at the start line just minutes before the gun, so we had a little trouble lining up in our respective corrals. It was just too crowded to finagle our way back, so we ended up starting…

The very first spin4 Crohn’s & Colitis Cures in Boston was a huge success, and the event raised more than $40,000 to benefit the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America(CCFA)! Woohoo! The first ever spin4 event launched last year in 9 cities across the country with 650 people in attendance raising nearly $400,000. This year, the indoor cycling relay will be held in over 20 cities with Boston being one of the first. There isn’t a cure (yet) for Crohn’s…

Hi, guys! Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to attend a really cool fitness event at the Derby Street Shoppes. It was called Cycle & Sweat, a family-fitness block party with all sorts of participating retailers, including Lululemon, ivivva, and Whole Foods Market among others. It was quite the event and right up my alley, so I’m especially glad that I had the chance to attend. The Cycle & Sweat Fitness Block Party featured three hours of exercise classes with all…

Hey, hey! On Monday, I played my very first round of golf. Sure, I’ve played mini golf and hit balls at the driving range, but I’ve never actually played 18 holes on an actual course. And while it wasn’t pretty (whoa, I definitely looked like I had never played before), I had a really great time with Sarah, Nicole, and Jessica as part of al fresco all natural’s blogger team. Wondering what al fresco has to do with Real…

Hello! How was your July 4th weekend? Mine was a whole lot of fun. I spent Friday through Sunday in Eugene, Oregon for our annual Brooks Running Blog Ambassador Weekend. This year, we had the opportunity to spectate the USA Track & Field Olympic Trials, which was the coolest thing ever. Pictured above: Women’s Chariot Heritage Shoes//Women’s Go-To Running Capris – both of which I have worn NON-STOP lately!  I arrived in Portland mid-morning and joined the rest…

Good morning, friends! We had lots to celebrate over the weekend. It was my 36th birthday as well as Father’s Day, so we had plenty to smile about! On Saturday night, Mal and I joined our friends Scotty and Jess for dinner at The Range, a new favorite with awesome outdoor seating that overlooks a driving range. It’s really cool, and we’ve been there a bunch since it opened. (Side note: We actually planned to go to dinner at Solstice, but they…

Last week, I was invited to attend the Reebok CrossFit Training Grounds at Reebok’s Global Headquarters in Canton, Massachusetts. The Training Grounds is an opportunity for qualifying CrossFit Games athletes to come together before the Games, receive coaching from some of the world’s top coaches, and utilize the facilities at Reebok CrossFit One in a stress-free environment where they can focus on training. Basically, it allows the athletes to have fun while getting prepared for the biggest competition of their careers. And, of…

Heyyyy! How was your Memorial Day weekend? I hope it was a great one for you! And many thanks to the veterans who have served our country. We had a nice long weekend over here. It was a mix of emotions at times, so I figured a High Low High post was the perfect way to recap it. If you’re unfamiliar with this series, I recap the high and low points of the weekend. It’s fun….

Hey, hey! Mal’s birthday was yesterday (and we lovvvveee birthdays in our house), so our celebration started over the weekend and continue late into the evening (with Funfetti cake) last night. Here’s a recap of the festivities! Mal is a huge soccer fan, so he wanted to see the New England Revolution play on Saturday night, so that’s what we did and it was such a great idea. We live fairly close to Gillette Stadium where…
