Oh, the power of positive thinking”¦ it can do wonders for a crappy situation (pun intended).
Now that I’m feeling better, I realize just how important positive thinking was for getting me through the worst of my Colitis flare. I really tried to keep an optimistic outlook despite how terrible things got.
If I allowed my negative feelings to influence my thinking about the situation, I know I would have ended up reacting negatively to them”” you know, laying in bed crying like I did the other day. Instead of being poopy pants about it (again, pun intended), I decided that I wanted to feel as upbeat as possible (aka “fake it until you make it”). Being positive and (mostly) upbeat on the blog also helped triggered those feelings.
With that said, today is going to be a good day!
Breakfast
Check out my breakfast this morning! A bit more colorful, huh? I made a fried egg, a piece of gluten-free toast with sunflower butter and banana slices, and then poured myself some Naked juice mixed with some water over ice. Delicious! I felt so good eating it”” like eating each bite made me a little bit healthier and stronger.
I’m taking a yoga class later this morning and then I’m visiting a special bakery with gluten-free goodies for a Cookie Friday treat!
Today is going to be a good day!

MANIFEST!
I had to do the same thing the other day after some not so nice comments on my appearance… Just stay positive 80% of time and you’ll make it through~
I’m so glad you are trying to stay positive and focus on the good things. 🙂 I think it’s true that sometimes just making yourself be more optimistic can help you feel better about your situation.
Check out the apps on your iphone there are a few that help with a Gluten free diet. Like Gluten Free Daily.
I am naturally an optimist.
I agree that staying positive is one of the key steps to getting back in balance.
I hope your tummy does better over the weekend!
I try to be an optomist but there are definitely days where I want to throw myself a bit of a pity party! I agree that positive thinking can make a situation so much more tolerable.
I was thinking about you when I was out to lunch today because on the menu was gluten free beer! Have you tried any of those yet? I think its called Redbridge?
I know you have tons of emails and tons of comments so I never know where to write hoping you’ll read it! I just bumped into this recipe and thought of you immediately!
You could easily bake and enjoy this!!

Have a lovely weekend.
I love pugs’ eyes intensity! Well captured!
Naturally an optimist!
Mind over matter, power of positive thinking, all that stuff.. I truly believe in it!
Here’s to your day being great!
I’m an optimist… but one that always has those nagging pessimistic worries at the back of her mind. 😛
I hope today was a good day for you!
So glad to see you doing better! Are those hydrangeas still the ones from last week? I have some planted in my yard and they look just like those – so pretty!
I am definitely an optimist; my husband is a pessimist so we balance each other out perfectly!
I’m naturally a pessimist. I hate that I am that way…see what I mean??! I really need to be more optimistic 🙂 Have a great day!
I’m naturally an optimist! I’m part of a military family, and with ry’s deployments, us moving all the time, and all the stuff in between I really realized that at times the only thing I have control of (and for a control freak this is hard) is my attitude…so I may as well pick a good one!
I am trying harder and harder to be an optimist. I have been a pessimist for the majority of my life and it is just exhausting!
I think the combination of positive thinking and sunflower butter is sure to do wonders for you 🙂
I have a hard time being positive but it is something I am always working on.
i think naturally it is so easy to be a pessimist, it doesn’t take any effort. so sometimes that just comes out as default. optimism takes a little though and shift in your thoughts, so not that i am a pessimist at heart, but sometimes it is just default. something that i can always improve on.
Murphy is adorable! I think I am a pessimist at first.. then I snap out of it and begin happy thinking!
