Hooray! Our “tiny HUGE” party was a huge success! What a fun time!
Mal was ready to party.
Ping”¦ not so much. (How adorable is he?!)
The food was definitely the highlight of the day.
On the menu: mini pizzas made from homemade (omg, delicious) dough.
Sliders.
Pasta salad made with tiny and HUGE shells.
Mini club sandwiches.
Which were served with potato sticks and Cornichons.
Mini BLT bites that Bridget made.
Tiny and huge tomato, mozzarella, and basil skewers that Elizabeth made.
A 3-foot sub that our friends Rob and Colleen brought.
Mini pug shark (not on the menu).
And huge beers and tiny shots of booze.
Tiny and huge Bud Lights!
Also on the menu (and the main attraction of the event): two giant hamburgers (one was a bacon cheeseburger)!
Our friend Mike baked the buns and burgers in 9” round baking pans.
And for dessert: a giant Oreo!
The cookie was made using a box of Betty Crocker chocolate cake mix, but with a little less water to make the texture less cake-y and more like a cookie. The filling was powdered sugar, vegetable shorting, and vanilla extract. We calculated the calorie total for the entire giant Oreo and it was just over 5,000 calories!
In addition to tiny and HUGE food, we also had a tiny and HUGE-themed playlist, which included songs with titles or lyrics related to anything big or small, such as “Big Pumpin’,” “Small Town Girl,” “Baby Got Back,” “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong,” and “Tiny Dancer.” It was a fun addition to the party!
CrossFit 781 friends!
Our friend Kim baked a huge (birthday) Chocolate Peanut Butter cupcake as well as mini Chocolate Peanut Butter cupcakes, which were eaten in about 30 seconds. They were so delicious!
Happy birthday, Kerrie!
Good times at “tiny HUGE”!
We ended up partying late into the evening, which included a Flip Cup competition (guys versus girls) and chowing down on chicken enchiladas.
I’m already looking forward to next year’s party!

Looks like a blast Tina!!! What a cute theme for a party! Love it!
What an awesome concept for a party!!! So creative! And I have that dress too. Gotta love Target 🙂
What a great theme for a party!!!! Looks like everyone had a good time.
Great ideas for the tiny huge party–looks like everyone had a great time and got into the theme!
My favorite tiny food is the dark chocolate covered cacao nibs (I forget the company that makes them, but Trader Joe’s has a knock-off version that’s awesome). 🙂
What a great idea! LOVE the oreo cake and the tiny/huge pasta salads. Genius!
Was that huge hamburger bigger than Murphy?!
It was almost pug size! 🙂
what an awesome theme! I would have never thought of that.
It would have been fun to play a little dress up with tiny girl clothes and baggy big mens clothes where the men tried on tank tops and the ladies tried on big pants.
I may be stealing this idea for future parties. Looks like the food was crazy. The oreo cookie looks amazing!
Hahhaaha that is such an awesome theme! Definitely going to steal that for my college apartment housewarming get-together 🙂
I love that everyone got so into the theme!!! You should have had a HUGE cat there, to go along with the tiny dog! Haha
What a fun theme! Such creative foods, too. Who knew Crossfit made you fit AND creative :).
Fun times!!! You and your friends are so creative!!!
That party looks absolutely awesome!! What a fun and such a unique idea. I’m lovin’ the tomato, mozzarella, basil skewer and the big burger actually looks very yummy. It’ll be hard to top that one.
What. A. Blast!!! So fun! Those pizzas look awesome!
The pizza were so delicious! I ate 4 of them! 🙂
I absolutely love the theme of this party– how creative. Glad the gathering was a success. Your friends and family seem like such a lovely, fun group of people.
Must make the huge Oreo! Where did you get the pan? Or how did you carve it out?
The pan was a standard 9″ circular baking pan and we made the design by hand from leftover dough.
Great party theme!!
Love your dress! My favorite tiny food is baby dill pickles. SO GOOD.
Hahaha AWESOME party theme! looks like so much fun! And the food looks delicious! Man, now I am hungry 😉
Um, those peanut butter cupcakes look amaze….now I am craving some pb love! Looks like such a fun Summer party!!!
Oh my gosh, your party looks like so much fun, everyone went all out!
My favorite giant food is definately a giant Cabury (my favorite brand) chocolate bar my family brought me back from london.
And by giant I mean GIANT, the only place it fits is above my refrigerator!
Ah how fun! The burgers are unreal! Really, I thought they weren’t real until you said something. 🙂
So cool that everyone was so into the theme!!
wow! what a fun time! so many creative and delicious looking eats. i love your dress too! i have the same one in a sea green color. 😉
That looks like such a fun time! That giant Oreo cookie is pretty amazing-looking lol
I love the burgers – I cannot believe you guys were able to make that!
For a party last summer my brother and his friend made a “Big Mac Meatloaf” – basically, a meatloaf so huge it was stuffed with 8 Big Macs. There was 30-40 people at the party and they still went home with leftovers.
That sounds awesome!
Oh my gosh-so fun! What a great party idea!!!
Hey, nice fence.
We always host a party during the holidays and I may have to steal your idea this year! It looks so fun!!
Great party theme idea! Loved the huge oreo and buyer haha
Great party! Love the idea! All food looks delicious! I’m curious how old your Murphy is?
My favorite tiny food is/are: M&M’s (peanut) and ‘huge’ food: gallon of Moose track ice cream…;)
He just turned 3 last month! 🙂
Looks like a fantastic party although I was a little disappointed to not see any tiny and huge condiments. Whenever I was away as a kid I used to always take to mini ketchup, tabasco, and mustard bottles they serve when you order room service 😉
Was the hamburger bun paleo bread?
No, it wasn’t Paleo. Actually, hardly any of the food at the party was.
I totally have that dress in 2 of the colors form target! I love the fit don’t you?
I almost bought that dress from Target this weekend. If I am not mistaken, I also have a tank top and pair of shoes just like one of your friends is wearing in the photos(purplish tank and pink shorts with the sandals) that came from Target. Gotta love that place.
I am dying over that HUGE Oreo cookie!! Did it taste similar to one?
Yep!! Delicious! 🙂
LOVE how this theme turned out and how everyone got into it – besides the obviously awesome huge burgers (and love that the buns were homemade! ha) I thought the tiny and huge Caprese skewers were hilarious – loved the Huge one.
Love this! Everything looks delicious & so cute!
awesome job on those themed eats. my fav tiny food is cherry tomatoes! 🙂
That oreo is so cool! Did you and Mal make it? The burgers are also amazing! Have you seen the “Pimp my Snack” ? you have to check it out!!! Lots of HUGE snacks…coolest are the Cadbury Cream Eggs and Mars Bars…so much detail people go to but that oreo deserves to be up there!
@Michelle (Peachy Palate): Shit it’s called Pimp that snack!
Haha those burgers look like something from Man v. Food! 😀
I love this idea! Looks like a great time!
What a fun party theme! I love all the fun foods you guys made! I think that my favorite huge food is a ginormo black and white cookie!
That is a cute dress! Looks like you guys put a ton of work into that party and it was a blast!
I want to have/go to a party now! So much fun!
