Later today, Mal and I our hosting our annual summer party. Remember last year’s Pig Party? It was an absolute blast, but a ton of work, so we’re doing something different this year. The theme is all things tiny and HUGE, so we’ll be serving food and drink that is either especially small or large.
A few weeks ago, we came up with a menu of what we wanted to serve, so, yesterday, we made a 2-page list of everything we needed for the party.
We already had some of what we needed, but most of it we had to buy, so Erin and I headed out to tackle the shopping.
Our first stop was the grocery store, where we split the list in half and divided and conquered.
Not our on list, but I needed to buy: Birthday Cake Oreos. I can’t remember who told me about them, but as soon as I saw the festive packaging, I grabbed a box.
In addition to grocery shopping, Erin and I stopped at iParty, the liquor store, and the Dollar Store.
Some of our tiny HUGE finds:
Dinner
For dinner, we ordered Buffalo Chicken Pizza and an Italian calzone to share among the five of us. OMG, Buffalo Chicken Pizza.
Pug sharks.
During dinner, we had a little fun with some of our tiny HUGE finds:
Of course, after dinner, I needed to try the Birthday Cake Oreos. They smelled amazing (just like vanilla frosting), but they only sort of tasted like birthday cake. They were pretty much regular Oreos with confetti cream filling. Still delicious, but they didn’t live up to the hype.
Once we finished eating, we got to work with the party prep:
Lots to do this morning! Can’t wait for tiny HUGE!!
