Any day now! Come on, Baby Haupert!
CRAVINGS
My appetite has been pretty normal lately. I’m actually craving healthy foods again!
AVERSIONS
Just the same ones I’ve had all throughout my pregnancy. No new ones.
OTHER SYMPTOMS
Frequent urination: I’m still a peeing machine and wake up multiple times every night.
Morning sickness: It’s going away (for the most part)!! FINALLY! I can hardly believe it. My evenings are enjoyable once again!
Indigestion: Hardly any. Baby H. has definitely dropped!
Sleep: I woke a few times last week around 3:00 AM and then tossed and turned for at least an hour before falling back to sleep. My brain was just so wired at that hour.
Clear skin: Still looking great!
Colitis stuff: Eh, things took a turn for the worse. I was getting so much better, but now I’m seeing blood and all that fun stuff. I’m better than I was before I got pregnant, so I’m still trucking along with my meds and hoping things get better.
Signs of labor: My doctor told me that I am 1.5 cm dilated, and I am having some cramping from time-to-time, but other than that, nothing.
Weight gain: At my 38-week appointment last week, I had gained 38 pounds.
WORKOUTS
Week 38 was my final week of “regular” workouts. Here’s a recap: 38 weeks. I stopped doing CrossFit, and I’ll be taking Murphy for long walks as a way to get exercise until Baby H. arrives.
ADDITIONAL UPDATES
I finished packing my bag for the hospital.
Thanks again for all of your wonderful suggestions on my previous post about what to pack for the hospital. I actually have a post coming soon with what is inside mine!
I scheduled doctor’s appointments after my due date.
For some reason, I thought Baby H. would come early. He always measured big at my appointments and my mom went into labor 19 days early with me. Plus, all of my girlfriends, who CrossFitted throughout their pregnancies, had their babies early too, so I thought maybe I would too? Who knows? Honestly, I am super impatient and just want to meet him already! Well, Baby H. definitely isn’t in any hurry to get here, so I made a couple of appointments after my due date to meet with my doctor just in case I need to be induced.
Murphy finally accepted my baby bump.
It only took him 38 weeks, but he finally accepts and embraces it.
