Meal4Meal Giveaway

Mastermind Weekend 1/16

Hey there!

I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots ‘N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.

An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

You’ve probably seen deal sites like this before (aka Groupon, Eversave, BuyWithMe, etc.), but never one with so much heart!

For every deal purchased, Meal4Meal will donate 4 meals to the local The Greater Boston Food Bank to help ensure everyone in the community can eat. One in six Americans doesn’t know where their next meal is coming from, so together we can help!

Homelessness is a cause that is near and dear to my heart, so when Meal4Meal asked me to be part of their featured blogger program, I jumped at the chance. And as a thank you for my participation, they offered to give one lucky (local) CNC reader a Meal4Meal certificate.

The current deal is $40 to Fire + Ice in Harvard Square AND the 4 meals for this certificate will still go to The Greater Boston Food Bank!

To enter the giveaway: Click over to the Meal4Meal website and check it out. Feel free to sign up or ”˜Like’ them on Facebook and then leave a comment on this post about why you’d like to win the certificate to Fire + Ice. I’ll randomly pick a winner tomorrow morning.

Good luck!

  1. I´d love this because it would be a great meal for my family and I celebrate my homehoming after a summer in Spain, indulge my cravings for just about every food I´ve missed since being away, and do it all for a good cause too!

  2. Great site- I have done some work with the GBFB in the past and this just sounds like another way they add to all the help they are giving families around the city.

  3. What a great idea!

I love Fire & Ice because sometimes I can be so indecisive when it comes to dinner and there, I can at least have a few different dishes too. 🙂 And anything to help a good cause, I am there!

  4. I love the concept and fire and ice! Being a part of back on my feet I’ve learned so much about homelessness.

  5. What a great site!

I’ve heard of Fire & Ice before but I’ve never been. The Sunday brunch sounds right up my alley! 🙂

  6. I would love to win the $40 to Fire and Ice so I can experience a place my friend Katy has raved about.
I love that the 4 meals to the food bank is still happening as well.

  7. This is a great give away and a wonderful way to fight homelessness. I love Fire and Ice with all of there options. Yum!

  8. I’d love to win this because my husband and I rarely go out to eat, and if we do, it would be great to have it benefit a good cause! Also, we used to live in Davis Square but moved to the South Shore, so it would be nice to go back to our old stomping grounds!

  9. love Fire & Ice and love that they are doing this..i bought one and sent the link to friends..thanks for posting it.

  10. I would love to win this because Fire and Ice seems like such a cool, fun restaurant and the concept of Meal4Meal is such a fantastic idea!

  11. I adore Fire & Ice! I had dinner there on my 21st birthday with all my college friends – and, it just so happens I’LL BE IN BOSTON THIS WEEKEND! So I could enjoy it immediately 😉

  12. What a great way to give back! I would’ve never heard of the company had I not read this post. A gift certificate to Fire & Ice would be awesome, I lived in Boston for 5 years and had never been, but my sister raves about it!

  13. Meal4Meal is such a great concept! My boyfriend and I picked up a couple when they had them for Max & Dylan’s. Not only did we enjoy a delicious meal & save money, it felt good to know we were not the only ones benefiting!

I haven’t been to Fire & Ice in a few years so winning this would be a great opportunity to go back!

  14. I would love this because the one and only other time I went to the Fire & Ice in Harvard Square was when I was in treatment there for an Eating Disorder, and I wasn’t able to enjoy the meal with my dad. I’m SO much more comfortable eating out now, and I would love the chance to go again with my Dad and show him how different things are now.

  15. This is a very cool program! I live in DE now, but I grew up in Mass and (very few people know this, but) my hubby and I will be moving back in the spring!! I would love this deal for Fire and Ice because my husband and I used to always go there when we were in high school and college 🙂 Memories!

  16. I think this program and organization is fantastic, thank you for bringing it to our attention.

I love Fire & Ice and would love to bring my 2 nieces and nephew there (we live in Worcester) for a fun eating experience one weekend after spending a fun day exploring Boston, its always hard taking the three of them out as it gets expensive, so this gift certificate would help with the cost!

  17. I signed up — what a great program! It’s like a mix of Groupon and Tom’s Shoes 🙂 I currently live in NY, but my family lives in the Boston area and I am there to visit quite often. Fire and Ice is always a treat… would be lovely to take the family out the next time I am home!

  18. I signed up for this bad boy – what a great concept it is! I’d love to win the gift certificate because I have a minor obsession with Harvard Sq and love eating, shopping, BEING there. Also, its moderately lame that I’m so close to several Fire + Ice locations in and around Boston and yet have never been there, despite it being very enticing. (any restaurant that encourages you to customize your idea gets top billing in my book hehe)

  19. What an awesome site! I signed myself up:) I’d love to win the gift certificate because I’ll be moving out of the Somerville/Cambridge area soon and a Fire + Ice dinner would be an fun way to spend my last couple months here!

  20. What a great program! I have lived in Boston my whole 27 years and havent experienced Fire + ice .. I would love a chance!

  21. I’d like to win the gift certificate because I just moved to Boston 4 days ago and I want to try out these new restaurants!

  22. Wow, what a great idea! I would love to win – for the selfish reason of course, a free meal is great, a free meal at Fire & Ice is greater.

But for the greater reason – if I can eat for free and 4 people who don’t know where they’re going to get their next meal can also eat, that makes me happy.

  23. What really struck me about Meal4Meal is that they are really helping those in need that are right next to us. For instance Meal4Meal in Boston donates to the Greater Boston Foodbank, so there is a chance that you could actually have walked right by or even talked to the one of the people whose meal you helped make happen. I just find that really special, and it keeps me motivated to help out locally.
