Good morning! Happy Friday!
I started my morning with a new gluten-free product that I really liked, so I wanted to tell you guys about it. I found these Food for Life Gluten-Free English Muffins (Brown Rice) at Stop & Shop yesterday afternoon in the freezer section.
They’re quite a bit different than the ones I tried from Trader Joe’s the other day. The ones from TJ’s were dry and little crumbly, but mostly soft and spongy like a real English muffin. The ones from Food for Life looked more like an actual English muffin, but the texture was thicker and chewier than the ones from Trader Joe’s. I guess I prefer thick, chewy English muffins because, if I had to pick my favorite, I’d go with the Food for Life English muffins. They just seemed more like the “real deal” to me.
Breakfast
This morning’s breakfast was a toasted Food for Life Gluten-Free English Muffin with Peanut Butter Boy Super Creamy Peanut Butter and banana slices on top.
Nick (aka Peanut Butter Boy) sent me his new peanut butter to try and review on CNC. He was actually one of the very first bloggers I interacted with in my early days of blogging, so when he reached out and asked if I’d be interested in trying his new peanut butter, I was all about it. (I also really love peanut butter. Duh.)
The Peanut Butter Boy Super Smooth peanut butter is excellent! As soon as I opened the jar, I smelled delicious, fresh roasted peanuts. Mmm! Love that smell. The consistency is thick, smooth, and not at all oily””it almost reminds of a homemade or freshly ground nut butter. As for taste, the flavor of freshly roasted peanuts definitely comes through, but it’s not super salty like some peanut butters. All in all, Peanut Butter Boy Super Smooth is fabulous peanut butter. I’m a fan!
