I’ve come a long way since my early days of working from home. I no longer sit on the couch hunched over my laptop or at the dining room table where I can watch TV. Now-a-days, I work in my office at a desk and only sometimes listen to music. I’ve also figured out how to work with a needy dog (aka “attention whore”) by my side all day long as seen here, here, here, and here.
This morning, I embraced my right-brain and rearranged the office. Now that Mal and I both work from home, we need to share the space. I broke up our “super desk” and moved them apart, so now we each have a one to work on. I gave myself the big desk! 😉
(Please note my very right-brained desk “filled with piles of papers, sticky notes, and business cards!” It’s organized to me! 😉 )
Aww, isn’t Mal’s desk cute?! 😉
I mostly have the needy dog thing figured out, but I’m a softie when it comes to Murphy. I let sit on my lap while I work, which is not an easy feat for a 29-pound pug. Doesn’t he look uncomfortable?!
Pug pretzel.
Poor guy.
Eventually, he got settled on my lap… at least for a little while.
Not long after Murphy got comfortable, an army of tree cutting trucks pulled up outside on my street and got to work. They were so frickin’ loud!! 👿
Murphy was not pleased.
Despite moving furniture, meeting my pug’s demands, and listening to hours of machinery raucous, I managed to get a lot done. I swear, I’m more productive working from home than in an office!
Snack
Around 11:30, I snacked on a Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Blondie and some VitaCoco coconut water that has been sitting in my fridge since the Healthworks Blogger Bash. Surprisingly, it was still good and tasted alright. (I guess I don’t really like coconut water? 😕 )
I definitely ruined my lunch with this snack because now I’m not hungry at all. Perhaps a workout will get my appetite going again?
See ya for dinner! 😎
