Hi friends – happy Friday!
In today’s episode of the Friday 5, I’m sharing 5 happier things unrelated to the craziness going on in our world. I’m trying to carry on as “normal” as possible, if you know what I mean. And, if you’re looking for tips and advice for staying healthy, be sure to head over to Instagram and follow my content there. I’ve been sharing a lot of workouts and motivation!
P.S. Check out this podcast episode I recently recorded for the ABCs of Matrescence. We chat about motherhood, entrepreneurship, and life with ulcerative colitis.
1. AllBirds Tree Runners
I recently earned a pair of these shoes as an inventive gift from Beautycounter, and I am in love. In. Love. I can’t believe I’d waited so long to try AllBirds. I mean, I bought a pair for Mal a couple of years ago after hearing how comfy they are, but never thought to buy myself a pair… and Mal raves about his and wears them ALL the time! And, of course, I plan to wear my Tree Runners all Spring. Bonus: they’re made from trees and machine washable – so no worries about getting my new white sneakers a little dirty!
2. True Body Lift Scoop Adjustable Strap Bra
I stumbled upon this bra on Instagram, and I immediately thought it was super cute for wearing under tank tops this summer, so I bought a few to try on. When they arrived, I was a little disappointed, thinking they were much to flimsy for larger chests… well, I was wrong! The Lift Scoop Adjustable Strap Bra was supportive, super comfy, and so flattering. I ordered it in Mink (to wear under white tanks) and can’t wait to order it in more colors. I love this smooth t-shirt style bra, and it totally works for bigger chests!! Definitely worth a look if you have trouble finding cute bras! 🙂
3. Headspace App
I think it’s safe to say we could probably all use a bit more “peace of mind” right now. Our world is scarier than ever; I know many others have shared that their anxiety has crept back up during this uncertain time. I’ve been using the Headspace app on my phone to listen to guided mediations — even a few minutes in the morning and a few minutes before going to bed have really helped me be present and minimize the worrying.
4. Little Fires Everywhere
This Hulu show is so addictive! I got sucked in and can’t stop watching now. It stars Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington, and it follows their two very different families and what happens in their lives. It’s set in the late 90s and early 2000s, so it’s fun to remember those days. The show is based on a 2017 bestseller, and the story explores secrets, motherhood, art, and more. I’m loving it!

I’ve been wanting to watch Little Fires Everywhere! I never read the book, but it sounds like a fascinating story.
It’s so good!! Definitely worth a watch! 🙂
Long time reader and lover of your blog! I love the Friday 5 – you always have such good suggestions and discoveries to share! I’m excited to watch Little Fires and check out that bra.
I just wanted to share something that has been making me happy – my sister opened a new Etsy store featuring beautiful collage making kits for both adults and kids! I think it’s a fun share especially when everyone is at home during the quarantine looking for ways to keep busy.

How is the arch support in the shoes? They are so cute! I noticed they have loafers, too!
