Mal and I had a very successful shopping trip this afternoon. We made all of the necessary stops and purchased everything that we needed in just a couple of hours– including goodies from Banana Republic and JCrew as well as receiving a $105 refund for my iPhone (since I purchased it within 30 days of their new phone coming out). Sweet!
By the time we visited Whole Foods (the last stop on our list), I had worked-up quite an appetite. I munched on a few cheese samples and purchased an iced tea to hold me over until we got home for lunch.
The loot for the week:
- Vanilla hemp milk
- Peanut butter Puffins
- Agave nectar
- Vanilla soy milk
- Maranatha peanut butter
- Peaches
- Stonyfield yogurt
- SO
- Chick peas
- Bananas
- Pears
- Frozen spinach
- Various bars
- Grape tomatoes
- Lettuce
- Mozzarella
- Frozen ravioli
Lunch
By the time we got back to our apartment, I wanted something in my belly ASAP, so I threw together a quick salad for lunch. I was famished, so I kept it simple.
Salad ingredients: Lettuce, broccoli, grape tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes, snap peas, almond slices, shredded cheddar, and balsamic vinegar.
On the side, I had some Guiltless Gourmet Chili Lime Tortilla Chips. I also munched on a few while preparing my salad. I told ya I was hungry!
The tortilla chip’s Chili Lime flavor was excellent– they had a really spicy kick to them. My mouth was on fire (in a good way) after eating just a few chips. So good!
The texture, however, tasted a little too “healthy” for my liking. The chips sort of tasted stale, even though I had just opened the bag.
P.S. Check out the Guiltless Gourmet website to win a trip to Las Vagas! 😉
For “dessert,” I enjoyed a mini plum, which was so delicious it made me want a regular-sized one!
Cute lunch date!
Our friends are coming over in 35 minutes– better start cooking!
