It may not look (or feel) like summer in Boston today, but I know it’s just around the corner! 😎
This afternoon, I attended my first farmer’s market of the season, and it made me so incredibly excited for summer! Yay! (If you Bostonians are curious, it was the farmer’s market in Copley Square, which is open Tuesday and Fridays, 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM.)
Unfortunately, I didn’t buy anything at the market because I didn’t have any cash on me, but it was still fun to peruse and imagine what items I would purchase.

Lunch
In between appointments and errands, I enjoyed lunch at the Squealing Pig with two of my old HSPH coworkers. I still talk to these friends a couple times a week, but I haven’t got together with them since the winter. It was nice catching up and hearing about the office “drama!”
For lunch, I ordered the Toasted Grilled Salmon Sandwich. The bread was especially fabulous– thick, grainy, and grilled to perfection!
Inside the sandwich was grilled salmon, spinach, potato slices, and dill yogurt.
On the side was a wonderful tangy potato salad made with red potatoes, red onions, scallions, and a full-flavored whole-grain mustard dressing. Delish!
I ate about 3/4 of the meal, including both the sandwich and potato salad.
With the check, our server brought some chocolate truffles. It was the perfect way to end the meal and satisfy my sweet tooth!
