This month’s post theme is “running with family,” so I wanted to share some of my favorite stroller workouts. Now that the weather has finally started to warm up, Quinn and I frequently enjoy stroller outings together. We both love being outside– fresh air, sights, sounds, activity– so it’s one of our favorite things to do together. That said, here are a few of our go-to stroller workouts! (Quick disclaimer: Please check with your doctor as well as your child’s pediatrician before starting any new exercise program.)

Question of the Day

What’s your favorite workout to do with your little one?




  1. We just started getting outside again this week since the weather finally decided to cooperate. I love this post and am pinning for sure!! Right now we do walking lunges, forward dog and an work together. He loves when I do chatarungas and kiss him on the way.

  2. Love these! I am a Baby Boot Camp instructor so I love stroller workouts. It’s great to see all the mamas get together and get fit and to see the little ones get into fitness as they get older! My 3 year old is constantly pulling out his yoga mat to do his “workout” now!

  3. I really just love running with him in general — he looks around, all amazed with the world — and I get a workout with the very best view. We do swim class, too, and I love doing sit-ups with him on my legs and baby bench presses. 🙂

  4. I recently moved out of the city (San Francisco) and now am in an area where I see tons of Mommas and Daddas running with strollers on this particular trail. Even though I don’t have kids, I’ve been coming up with moves in my mind that I can hopefully do one day with a stroller!! ahahha! 🙂

  6. This is exactly (one of) the reasons I love following your blog! Most of my running is done with a jogging stroller so this will be perfect leading up to my half marathon in (less than) three weeks time! And not long at all for you now with the Boston Marathon!
