Hello, Monday! šŸ˜Ž

Sorry that I didn’t post about dinner last night. It ended up being a really late night for me– plus, I still needed to write my Health post for the week. If you’re curious, Mal and I ate dinner at my mom’s house last night, which I wrote about over at Trading Up Downtown.

When I was at my mom’s house last night, she pulled out an old-school favorite of mine: aĀ Pocket Rocker! Total blast from the past, right? My mom was cleaning the attic the other day and stumbled upon this gem. Surprisingly, it still works!

I used to love my Pocket Rocker! I’d put it in the basket on the front of my bike and ride all over the neighborhood, rocking out to Tiffany, The Bangles, Debbie Gibson, Belinda Carlisle, and Whitney Houston. I thought I was SO cool with my Pocket Rocker and banana seat bike. Man, those were the days!

Breakfast

This morning, I rocked the Oats in a Jar for breakfast. My beloved Nuttzo was just about gone, so I used the semi-empty jar for my oats.

In the mix:

  • 1/4 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/4 cup oat bran
  • 1/3 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp flax
  • 2 tbsp chopped walnuts
  • Cinnamon

I also enjoyed a wonderful homemade iced latte with breakfast.

  15. Thanks for your posting. My partner and i have continually observed that almost all people are wanting to lose weight simply because they wish to show up slim plus attractive. Having said that, they do not constantly realize that there are other benefits so that you can losing weight as well. Doctors insist that over weight people come across a variety of diseases that can be perfectely attributed to their excess weight. The good news is that people that are overweight in addition to suffering from diverse diseases can help to eliminate the severity of their illnesses through losing weight. You are able to see a progressive but notable improvement in health whenever even a small amount of losing weight is attained.

  16. Oh man! I was just telling my wife about pocket rockers and googled it so she could see. Crazy the little things that remind you of childhood. I too had debbie gibson, walk like an egyptian… I thought I was cool stuff.
