When I was driving home from the Cape on Sunday morning, Murphy‘s favorite song came on the radio, so I turned it up and sang along (like a goober).
I bet you didn’t know Murphy had a favorite song, right? He actually has a lot of favorites””some of which he determined himself and others Mal and I have decided for him because we’re weirdos and like to think our dog is a person sometimes.
Murphy’s favorites determined by him:
- Foods: Chicken and peanut butter
- Way to travel: Car rides
- Place to relax: Laps
Murphy’s favorites determined by Mal and me:
- Color: Green (because it’s Mal’s favorite color)
- Holiday: Christmas (he really wants a French bulldog puppy)
- TV Show: Modern Family (Murphy has a crush on Stella)
Does anyone else make up likes (or dislikes) for their pet or are we super weird?
Breakfast
This morning’s breakfast was supposed to be a two-ingredient pancake with blueberries, but I cooked it too fast and fell apart into a mushy mess. Of course, it was still edible, so I added a scoop of almond butter and devoured it. I also drank a glass of iced tea with almond milk with breakfast.
Snack
My breakfast didn’t hold me over very well because, just a few hours later, I was hungry again, so I had some cantaloupe and blueberries with almond butter to hold me over until lunch.
Lunch
I ate lunch at NuVal today, so I packed some food to take with me. In the salad mix: spinach, cucumber, avocado, roasted broccoli, Brussels sprouts, beets, zucchini, sautéed mushrooms, and a leftover Veggie Turkey Burger with grainy mustard on top. I also brought a couple of dates for something sweet.
I’m off to run 3 miles. According to DailyMile, it’s been 28 days since my last run. Yikes!
