Miley Cyrus? Wrecking ball? AMAZING.

I got back from Bethlehem last night. (What a weekend! I have SO MUCH to tell you guys!) I ended up snagging an earlier flight on standby, so I was home around 7:00 PM. Yay! Mal and Murphy were excited to see me when I got home and, of course, I was so happy to see them.

Mal was basically Super Husband while I was away. Listen to this”¦ He cleaned the entire house from top to bottom. He even washed the windows in the living room””who is he?! He mowed both the back and front yards and raked up all of the leaves. He also drove out to Funny Farm, split wood, and hauled it back to our house for future fires.

And Mal meal planned and went grocery shopping for the week. Best husband ever. I am one lucky gal!

Dinner

Speaking of meal planning, last night’s dinner was a good one. We had grilled chicken with roasted broccoli, rice, and steamed spinach. Delish!

And, for dessert, Mal and I dug into some Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food. We didn’t finish the entire pint, but we came really close!

Breakfast

This morning, I slept in until 7:30 (I was exhausted after this past weekend) and then made myself breakfast, which was a toasted bagel with whipped cream cheese and a banana with peanut butter spread on top.

I actually like her. I used to just roll my eyes at her ridiculous antics, but I saw an interview with her on Ellen, and she made me change my opinion about her. She’s definitely an adventurous 20-year-old, but she seems like a great business woman too.

What’s your favorite kind of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream?

Half Baked!

What’s on your agenda for workouts this week?

CrossFit and running, but today is definitely a rest day. My legs are smoked!

  1. I don’t think about Miley Cyrus much, but I think that dog Halloween costume is excellent.

    I don’t get much Ben & Jerry’s but we have this place called Jeni’s Ice Cream with a flavor called ‘salty caramel’. It is awesome.

  2. If I had come home from a trip and MY husband had done all that Mal did I would wonder who stole my real husband..lol. Good for him! I’m planning my first 12 mile run this week in preparation for my first half marathon. (Wondering how that’s possible but trying to stay positive). Also, I’m doing crossfit 3x this week. Starting my third month and am still loving it…hating it…loving it…:) you know how it is..haha. Have a good week!

  3. Have fun re-fueling after all of your races this past weekend! (Great jobs and I love the medals!) one of my favorite parts of a half marathon, besides finishing it, is eating a little extra after to re-fuel 🙂 It looks like this past weekend was so fun – glad you had great weather!

  4. I agree with you! I’ve been semi-annoyed by her antics for awhile, but after seeing her on Ellen I had a slight change of heart. I think it’s easy to forget she’s just a 20 year old trying to live her life (although I could have done without that VMA performance …)

    Half Baked is my absolute favorite Ben & Jerry’s flavor – especially the one made with fro-yo!

    Too much going on to workout today, but I plan to hit up BodyStep tomorrow, yoga & BodyAttack Wednesday, BodyPump Thursday and a 3 mile run Friday morning. Can’t wait to hear about the rest of your weekend!

    I don’t like Miley Cyrus–sorry, but she is a horrendous role model. IMO

    My workout for the week will hopefully be BIRTH! 😉 Ahhhh. If baby girl would come already. hah

  6. Right now I’m not much of a fan of Miley but I haven’t seen that interview, or any interviews for that matter so my opinion is more based on her work. I just can’t even watch her Can’t Stop music video, it’s too much. And does no one notice she has a lisp? Not necessarily a reason to dislike her, I just feel like I’m the only one who notices this? Used to love Hannah Montana though…

  7. I used to love Half-Baked. I would by the yogurt version but haven’t had it in a while..As for Miley, I am not a fan. I don’t understand what has gotten into her and as a parent, I am not thrilled with the way she has turned from Hannah Montana into what she is now. Look at me getting all parentish lol. But it’s true – my son grew up watching her and now that he is old enough to know what’s up, I am not thrilled with him seeing her behave the way she has been versus what he saw when he watched Hannah Montana. Although I guess it teaches him that the characters on TV are simply that – characters.

  8. If all of the world saw first-hand the stuff most of us did in our early 20s, we would probably get a lot of negative publicity, too.

    I’m with you on Half Baked as the best B&J ice cream. All desserts should just really be compilations of other desserts.

  9. I guess I don’t really have an opinion on Miley Cyrus. For a long time I tried to stay away from her music, but now I really like some of her songs. I do love that pug costume though!

    As for Ben and Jerry’s I LOVE Half Baked. I haven’t had Ben & Jerry’s in years though! I want to try to froyo, but I’m afraid I’d eat well over the 1/2c serving size.

    This week’s workout includes lifting, elliptical, AMT, biking, running, and walking the dog – also I read some of your old blog postings about YogaDownload and I am digging their classes so those are on the agenda too.

  10. Haha that pug costume is hysterical! And way to go Mal for doing all that stuff while you were away! I don’t have any workouts planned this week since I’m in a hotel all week for work, but I’ll probably run outside when it’s nice and try to use the hotel gym if it gets rainy.

  11. Not a Miley fan at all. But I never have been. I do agree that she certainly knows how to sell herself. But to me, getting your song to #1 just because you bug all of your fans on Twitter is different than actually having a #1 hit song. But hey, what the heck do I know?! 😉 She’s famous and I’m not haha!

  12. Phish food is my fave, but I pick out all the chocolate fish and eat them later after they’ve thawed and aren’t insanely hard.

  13. My fave Ben & Jerry’s…coffee heath bar crunch…LOVE! Tina do you have a Cold Stone Creamery near you? I had a s’more creation that they have out now with marshmallow ice cream, graham crackers, fudge and peanut butter cups…thought you may enjoy it.

  14. There might be a little yoga before bed but otherwise today is a rest day. It’s hard because after my 1/2 marathon yesterday I FEEL amazing and like I could go for a run but I know better and am forcing myself to sit today on the sidelines. 😉

  15. That is exactly how I feel about Miley. I saw EJ (Elton John and I refer to him) on Ellen, and his view point of Miley changed my mind. Now, with my changed view point, I can actually enjoy her catchy tunes!

    Personally, I can’t stand Miley Cyrus. She just… I don’t even have a word for her. I just hate her lol.

    Half Baked is def my favorite flavor, but Phish Food comes in at a close second.
