Good afternoon, folks! š
Let’s get down to business with lunch and then I have some embarrassing fun (funny?) photos to share with you. I’m confident that you’ll at least crack a smile! š
Lunch
I worked at NuVal this afternoon, so I packed a lunch to take along with me. There’s slim pickings in our kitchen right now, so I managed to come up with a Siggi’s yogurt with Galaxy Granola and cherries on the side.
Ok, so, are you ready for a little fashion show? š
Style 101
As a kid, I was pretty stylish. I wore a lot of dresses and girly stuff, like heart patterns and shades of pink and purple. I knew what I liked and rocked it.
And, of course, I always had the perfect outfit for every occasion, like the first day of kindergarten:
Or whale watching.
Even camping.
At that age, I was a natural fashionista. š
But, the older I got, the more “interesting” my fashion choices became– hairstyles included!
(Apparently, the half up-half down side ponytail was cool in the late 80’s. And, I’m pretty sure my wavy hair was the result of leaving it in braids overnight. What can I say, I was on top of the trends.)
Clearly, I embraced the 80’s.
Did you ever layer your socks? I bet that goat appreciated my style that day.
Ok, so maybe the 80’s weren’t so terrible to me. But, by the early 90’s, my fashion sense got worse and worse.
(Please note the “scrunchie” on my wrist in the photo below. I thought wearing it there was much more stylish than in my hair.)
As you can see, I had a tremendous desire to dress just like Blossom. I thought her fashion sense was super hip.
I’m not even sure what to say about this last photo. I guess I had some sort of European thing going on with a beret and Scotty dogs on my sweater. Obviously, this outfit oozes coolness.
What embarrassing fashion trends did you embrace over the years?
P.S. I’m hosting a sweet giveaway this evening. These photos are a clue! š
