LOOK what I found at Barnes & Noble last night!!!
Holy crap! My book is on shelves! Apparently, it was released early!?!
I thought maybe the folks that preordered my book received them before the May 3rd release date, but my book is popping up at stores all over the place, including Anchorage, AK, Concord, MA, and Arlington, VA. So cool!
My publisher has a relationship with Barnes & Noble, so you can find my bookĀ on shelves inĀ the Health section, but you can also order it online.
Last Night’s Dinner
Last night, Mal and I planned to break out the grill to cook hamburgers on our back deck, but, by the time he brought the grill up from the basement and cleaned it, it was raining pretty hard. Boo. So, we cooked them inside on the stove top.
I had my burger on a toasted Everything Bagel Thin with cheddar cheese, relish, and a pickle. On the side: kale chips!
For dessert, Mal and I shared a caramel apple that the Easter Bunny gave me.
We murdered it.
Breakfast
This morning’s breakfast was fresh fruit with a leftover blueberry muffin from Easter brunch with peanut butter spread on top. A little while later, I enjoyed an iced coffee with soy milk.
RunChat
Last night, I participated in my first ever Twitter chat– about running!
On the second and fourth Sunday of each month, #runchat is co-moderated by Scott from iRunnerBlog and David from RunningBecauseICan. Anyone (with a Twitter account) can participate and all things running-related are discussed. If you want to learn more, check out the FAQs about #runchat.
So, I absolutely loved #runchat!! As you know, I love talking about running and learning from other runners, so #runchat was a great way to do it. The hour totally flew by for me! I could have chatted all night!
Question of the Day

yea i went to pre order it over a week ago and they handed it to me at BN! i have already finished it before it was even supposed to be released
they told me that publishers sometimes send them out early if they arent a highly awaited international release ie…….. HARRY POTTER
maybe your second one will sell as many as JK Rowling?! š
WAY to go i LOVE the book!
Congratulations on the book! It’s hard for us publishers to know exactly when they’re going to hit store shelves (so many variables)! Always a pleasant surprise when they show up a few days early!!
I could talk about food and baking for hours and never get bored! š
Um… no question, RUNNING, fitness and healthy eating! I LOVE fancy caramel apples, nice work leaving nothing behind!
I could talk all day about: travel, food, clothes, writing/editing, plans for the future, decorating.
Congratulations on your book! That’s seriously so exciting! I will definitely try to swing by B&N to grab a copy š
That is so exciting! Congratulations on such a fantastic accomplishment!
I need to go look in my Barnes and Noble to pick it up, congrats, Tina, you are so deserving of all your success!
I just bought your book last night!! (It’s arrived early in SF as well!) Congrats!
This is awesome!! Congrats!!!!
Congrats on your book! Publishers have books printed about a month before the release date so that they can get books distributed across the country in time for the release date. For books without spoilers (aka, not Harry Potter), they’ll start stocking the shelves as soon as they get them š So cool to see it in stores!
I’m getting mine today, can’t wait to read it!!!
I could defiantly talk about my son forever haha
I can’t even imagine the feeling of seeing your book at the bookstore for the first time! You famous, girl.
What subject could you talk for hours and hours and never get bored? Right now I’m doing “biggest loser” at work and I could talk about it all day.
