Good morning and happy Monday!

Remember my post about my crazy-busy fall? Well, it starts today!

packing for back-to-back trips

This morning, I’m off to the Hamptons where I’ll stay until Wednesday afternoon and then I’ll head to Woonsocket, Rhode Island for a two-day event until Friday afternoon. Ooooh boy, back-to-back trips!

I didn’t realize this until I was planning my travel, but there’s no easy way to get from Boston to the Hamptons. I considered all sorts of travel options, but, I eventually decided on driving to New London, taking a ferry (fun!) to Orient Point, and then driving the rest of the way to the Hamptons. (Thanks for the suggestion, Marisa!)

On the way home, I’ll take the ferry back and then drive right to Woonsocket. It sounds pretty straightforward right now, so, hopefully, everything goes as planned!

As for my weekend, it was a lot of fun. Mal and I spent Friday night catching up with Elizabeth and Nick and getting a tour of their new condo in Southie.

Saturday, I ran 9 miles, went to the GymNASTY seminar, and then went out to dinner at Assembly in Quincy with Mal, Kerrie, and her boyfriend, Matt.

My first order of business at Assembly was sangria. Ever since my sangria experience at The Inn at Bay Pointe, I’ve been obsessed with red sangria. I’ve always liked it, but white sangria was more my thing. Now, I just can’t get enough of the red variety. There’s something about all of those wonderful flavors and spices that can’t be beat.

After dinner, we headed to the Stadium for the (80’s-themed) 2-year CrossFit 781 anniversary party!

Good times!

I love the people at 781 so much.

And, of course, no blog post is complete without some pug photos!

Monica sent Murphy a bananagram last week, and it was love at first sight.

When I showed the stuffed banana to him, he immediately snatched it from my hand and ran off with it. Check out that huge pug talon! He was SO excited.

Murphy has been obsessed with it ever since! Thanks, Auntie Monica!

Questions of the Day

How was your weekend?

Red or white sangria?

Do you have a good sangria recipe to share? (I want to make sangria at home, so I can sit on the couch and drink it.)

P.S. I’ll announce the winner of the Rank & Style giveaway (overnight + gym bag) later today. I’m still waiting to hear who was selected. Thanks for your patience!
