Another Adventure

Mastermind Weekend 1/16

Hey there!

I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots β€˜N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.

An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

I’m packed up and ready to go on another adventure! 😎

I’m taking the Bolt Bus down to New York City for the day.

Quick side note: the Bolt Bus rules. I took it for the Citymeals-on-Wheels event last month and Mal and I took it in around Christmas to celebrate our engagement– both times were great. (Mal and I got engaged at a wine bar in NYC in December 2006.) The Bolt Bus is super cheap, clean, and the internet is usually pretty good. (It depends how many people access it at once.) And, if you create a Bolt Bus account online, you can get an “A” ticket, which let’s you on the bus first, so you get your choice of seats (i.e. not near that bathroom at the back of the bus). I got a sweet aisle seat at the front of the bus this morning! πŸ˜‰

Ok, so I bet you’re wondering why I am going to New York City today. Well, I was invited to the media lunch for the “Kitchen of the Year” event, put on by House Beautiful. Sounds pretty cool, right? I didn’t have anything to do today, besides work on my book edits, so I figured why not do them on the bus ride down to the city? Hopefully, I can get a lot done!

I packed breakfast to take with me this morning: Oikos + Raisin Bran, a nectarine, and a strawberry cereal bar.

When I arrived at the bus station, I grabbed an iced coffee from Cosi.

We just left South Station. Time to get to work. See ya in NYC!

  1. I would love to have some great mass transit options. Where I live it’s the car or you don’t go. Would also love to be near two great cities like Boston and NYC.

  2. Where did you get that bag? I’ve been looking for a great day trip sized bag but am having the worst luck. Have fun in NYC today!

  3. So great that you get to travel as much as you do! I am so jealous and wish I wasn’t stuck behind a desk all day. Have a fun day and enjoy yourself πŸ™‚

  4. Hey I love the Bolt Bus too!! BEST way to travel πŸ™‚ Welcome to NYC for the day – stay cool in this heat! The House Beautiful event sounds very cool, can’t wait to hear about it.

  5. I bought Oikos last night for my lunch today. Usually I buy Fage but I was inspired by your Stoneyfields trip.

  6. I’m going to have to look into the Bolt Bus. I’ve taken the Fung-wah bus (otherwise known as the China bus) from Boston to NY. The bus is soooo much cheaper than the train. Have a fabulous trip!

  7. I love Bolt Bus! I’ve taken it from DC to NYC a couple of times. I prefer the train if I had my pick of anyyything but you can’t beat the price of the bus, which is why I opt for that every time :).

    Have fun today Tina!

  8. Welcome to NYC! It’s a hot one today! If you find yourself near Lincoln Center and need some food recommendations, let me know!
