Back to Reality

June 24, 2010

Good morning! 8-)

I made it home safe and sound last night. I ate dinner, did some stuff for NuVal, watched The Bachelorette, and went straight to bed. I was exhausted after my quickie trip to New York City.

So, is anyone else watching The Bachelorette this season? I haven’t watched the show since the original bachelorette (Trista Sutter), but I’m really into this season. I’m routing for Ali, but don’t a lot of the guys on the show seem like total creepers!? Some of them are so weird!

Breakfast

Breakfast this morning was a yummy bowl of overnight oats. (I’m obsessed!)

IMG_0019.JPG

In the mix: Mad Hectic oatmeal, old-fashioned oats, chia seeds, dried cranberries, walnuts, soy milk, and a scoop of Barney Butter. Ahh, I love it! :-D

And, of course, I enjoyed an iced coffee with breakfast… well, after breakfast. My new habit is eating breakfast with a glass of water and then starting on my iced coffee once I am finished. I sip it all morning long.

I never watch the bachelor or bachelorette shows, but I am loving Ali and this season. But yes some of the dudes are super creepy. And I already pre-ordered Caitlin’s book a couple months ago :)

i would not want to be a contestant on any reality show but i’d love to host one! especially a food-centered one.

I love watching the Bachelorette! I think Ali is precious… and Roberto is my favorite so far… you can tell Ali is wayyyy into him!

I used to think I’d LOVE to be on a reality show (like the Real World back in the day), but not so much anymore…. you have no control on how they edit you to look. :P

Ok. There are three guys on the Bachelorette that are CUTE and not creepers: the Cape Cod guy (by the way, Ali, just quit your job in SF and move to Cape Cod. duh.), ROBERTO!!!! (I’d end the show now and just take him home if I were her), and Kirk (total cutie and a runner – can’t go wrong). The rest are worthless. :)
I could never be on a show like that. If I had to compete with tons of women over one man, I’d totally just fade into the background and figure they could have him. lol

I love reality TV but haven’t watched The Bachelor or The Bachelorette in a while.

I would love to be on The Amazing Race. But I would need to find a partner because Hunni and I would not be good partners.

Amazing Race, for sure!

I would never want to be on Rock of Love or any that involve relationships….

I would love to be on the Amazing Race or Moving Up. I would hate to be on Survivor because of the creepy crawlies (spiders mainly).

I’d love to be on “What Not to Wear” … after I get to my goal weight, of course! Anything else, I’m not too sure about.

Not really watching “The Bachelorette,” but my roommate is, and I catch bits and pieces on my dinner break. Saw one guy getting a tattoo for her … but I don’t know how that worked out for him. (I’m assuming it backfired. I wouldn’t want a guy who just might capture my heart to get a tattoo for me. Now if I knew for sure he was “the one,” it’d be a different story.)

OHman the guys on the bachelorette this season are DEFINITELY CREEPS. yikes. hopefully she picks a normal one in the end!!

I would like to be on So You Think You Can Dance. I am not a dancer (or a good one at least) but I would love to be able to dance as beautifully as those contestants.

I am going to go the opposite route here and say that I don’t like Ali. She drives me crazy and she seems SO fake to me. (Not that the entire show isn’t somewhat fake in my opinion…but that doesn’t stop me from watching it..haha!) I would most like to be on The Amazing Race. I think that show tops all when it comes to the experiece you would most likely get out of it. Oh or Dancing With The Star because it would be so cool to learn how to dance like that!! Tough call…not sure I could decide!

Ha – that’s funny! I, too, haven’t watched it since Trista, but have found myself hooked this season. Justin needs to go. I’m glad Kasey got the boot…he was nuts.

I really have been trying to watch the Bachelorette. I need to catch up on my episodes. I love Ali! She is so cute! I agree, the guys this season are creepers. What is up with that?

I would want to be on the Amazing Race! I love the show, I love games, challenges & obstacle courses, and I love to travel….sign me up please! Oh wait, I’m a stay @ home mommy to a 2yr old…that might pose a problem!

I don’t watch The Bachelorette, but I did watch one season of The Bachelor and I hate the fact that they’re all dating the same person at once and most aren’t insanely jealous. I’m not a big reality TV fan, but if I had to be on one show I’d pick What Not to Wear. I could use a $5,000 wardrobe and I’d dress like a grandma for six months just to get it. That, or some home design show where I can get all new furniture.

I gave up the Bachelorette after the season Jen Schefft was on and picked NOBODY! I gave up another show to watch that so I was a little miffed at her for wasting my time!

If I could be on a reality show I’d like to be on Color Splash on HGTV – my kitchen needs a serious makeover and I think David Bromstead is a cutie!

I would never want to be on any dating show but I would like to be on the Amazing Race. I would also be OK with being on something like House Hunters on HGTV.

I watched one episode of this season’s Bacholorettte and then stopped. I could see myself getting totally addicted to the show though.

I would love to be on Top Chef. What a blast that would be! :D

Love all things Bachelor/Bachelorette related. I’ve been a sucker since the first season! I haven’t watched every season due to school and the like but I love Ali! My front runner is Kirk with Chris L as a close second. If he doesn’t get picked, how about he just dates me :) haha OH and get rid of Justin. Stop talking about yourself as if you have an alter ego, weirdo.

Laura (youngDCliving) June 24, 2010 at 2:18 pm

I’m watching (yet, I tell myself every other season that it’s my last, haha!). I actually didn’t like Ali at all when she was on the Bachelor, but I’m liking her a lot more on the Bachelorette. I totally agree with you–so many of the guys are weirdos. Especially the “weather man” and Kacie- but at least its super entertaining. I read on a blog that the wrestler didn’t actually walk to Ali’s house, because that would have been virtually impossible given the distance and the security around the main house.

Right now I’m rooting for the guy whose mom died (Craig, I think?) and Roberto! :)

I’m watching the bachelorette too! Justin “rated r” is a total creep, and that guy who got the tattoo named Casey…..his voice really bothers me lol! My fav is Chris L from Cape Cod.

I would choose to go on the amazing race because I’d be able to travel all over the world. I would definately not want to be on Survivor or Rock of Love haha

Your Barney butter looks like honey! I still need to try it :) I have no desire to be on a reality show, but if I had to choose one, I would try the Amazing Race! I would be a mess because I’m awful at logistics and stress about travel time tables, but my husband is great a that stuff & I think we’d have a ton of fun!

I watch enough reality TV to both want to be on a show and not want to be on a show. The same want/don’t want goes for the show. The Amazing Race would be incredible, but my husband and I (whom I’d presumably team up with) wouldn’t even make it the first hour without fighting. We would be “that” team.

So funny that you wrote about the Bachelorette. I’ve been really hooked this season and also haven’t watched since the first way back when! I watch before bed on Hulu. I don’t know why I’m so into it! I’m voting for Kirk :)

I hope you don’t mind me asking, but I saw on twitter that you ate “7 sugar cookies”. Was that a joke or did you jsut not report it on the blog? I follow healthy blogs for inspiration, but it’s discouraging when the blogger either doesn’t eat everything thye post, or eat more than they do. I don’t mean blogs that say this in a disclaimer, but you’ve said that you post 95% or so. just curious.
