Woo! It’s a hot one out there today! The temperature is well over 90 degrees, which is much too hot for a pug! 😯
(Please ignore the unflattering photo of me! Blah.)
After lunch, Mal and I took Murphy to the Stodder’s Neck dog park in Hingham. It’s right on the water, so we figured Murph could run around and then cool off in the ocean.
When we arrived at the park, Murphy was more than ready to stretch his little pug legs! Despite the hot temps, he had a TON of energy. (Even after spending more than an hour at the dog park, he’s still running around our apartment! He’s the Energizer Pug, I tell ya!)
After playing for awhile, we figured Murphy would want to cool off in the ocean. He doesn’t love water, but he doesn’t hate it either, so Mal gave him a little help getting in.
Swim pug swim!
Murphy spent about 10 seconds in the water before running back to the beach. He wasn’t a fan.
He gave Mal a little “pay-back” by stealing one of his socks! 😆
Before heading the dog park, I snacked on some watermelon.
And some cucumber slices with salt.
For lunch, I threw together a big salad with canned salmon mixed with pesto on top. It was way too hot to cook anything this afternoon!
After lunch, I wiped up some banana soft serve with a couple of pieces of dark chocolate mixed in.
I’m away for the next 4 days, so Mal and I planned a date night for this evening, so we could spend some quality time with one another before I leave.
Gotta get ready! See ya! 😎
