Breakfast at the Landmarc

March 16, 2010

Hi, guys!

I just got back from a wonderful breakfast at the Landmarc Restaurant with Lori, Paula, and Jennifer (from Bertolli’s PR team). It was so nice to meet these ladies before the main event this afternoon. I just love chatting with food bloggers– and, of course, dining with them. I always feel better when someone else whips out their camera when the food is served!

I really loved the decor inside the Landmarc Restaurant– simple, yet modern and sophisticated.

Not surprisingly, I started-off my meal with an iced coffee. It totally hit the spot this morning.

To eat, I ordered the Landmarc Egg Sandwich, which came with Gruyère cheese on an English muffin and hash browns on the side. I made a special request for spinach in my egg sandwich. Gotta get those nutrients!

The egg sandwich was delicious with lots of egg, spinach, and cheese. And, I loved that it wasn’t sopping in grease. Ya never know with egg sandwiches! I ate the hash browns with a little ketchup.

Paula was nice enough to offer me a bite of her toasted baguette with Nutella, so I couldn’t turn her down. I <3 Nutella! :-D

When the check was brought to the table, it arrived with a surprising item: cotton candy! Fun! :-D  I had a taste, but cotton candy really isn’t my thing. It’s actually too sweet for me!

I have a couple of hours to kill before the media lunch, so I’m off to explore. Sabrina should be here any minute now, too!

Agreed! I can only hand one small bite of cotton candy. Egg sandwiches however are quite different. I could eat three!

what a nice spot! i love it when restaurants go the extra mile with making things special – i.e. cotton candy! I have quite a sweet tooth, so I don’t think gobbling it up would have been a problem ;)

Have a great day!

I love gruyere cheese! That would make the perfect egg sandwich. Cotton candy is too sweet for me and especially at breakfast.

I’m such a slut for ragingly awesome restaurant interiors. :) I like the whimsical touch of cotton candy too. Food also looks pretty delish… was it quite expensive? (It looks it :D )

Your breakfast looks awesome! Did you visit the Landmarc at the Time Warner Center? I just got back from a trip to NYC and we had brunch at Bouchon Bakery in the Time Warner Center. The lemon tart amongst 7 other pastries we ordered were phenomenal! So jealous of your weather. We had pouring rain & wind all weekend. :(

Wow, that egg sandwich looks delicious! I know what you mean, I like ordering eggs out, but it is always a gamble as to whether or not they will be greasy! Cotton candy reminds me of being a kid. That was my thing then, but it is too sweet for me now! Have fun!

Hopefully you’re out and about right now exploring the city on this BEAUTIFUL day. Perhaps we’ll bump into each other, haha.

Your breakfast sandwich looks sensational! It’s hard to go wrong with Gruyere cheese. I know what you mean by greasy egg sandwiches, the only instance in which I prefer the grease is to help aid a hangover. However, since I don’t drink anymore that exception doesn’t really apply.

Yum! That egg sandwich looks delicious! I’ve been wanting to try Landmarc but haven’t gotten there yet. If I go for breakfast, I’ll definitely try the egg sandwich. Nutella is heavenly.

Hi Tina! I have been reading your blog for the past year now and have yet to leave a comment. I live in NYC so it was fun to see that you visited one of my favorite restaurants…Landmarc! I have to say, you must go to a Tasti D lite while you are here. Low Cal yummy frozen yogurt! Its my favorite. There is one at west 60th street, just up from the time Warner building where landmarc was in. Enjoy sunny NY!

Gruyere – nom, nom, nom! Cotton candy served with your bill??? That’s soooo much better than the random candy mint you normally get!!!

Freya @ Brit Chick Runs March 16, 2010 at 1:25 pm

Candy floss at breakfast! Only in America :)
Aaah Nutella – when I was younger I used to live off that stuff! Literally, at least 1 big jar a week….

Monica @ Musings of the Granola Girl March 16, 2010 at 1:27 pm

Cotton Candy isn’t my thing either, but that’s neat that it came with the check!!

& Nutella is DANGEROUS stuff! :)

Beautiful restaurant! I love that it’s standard to give cotton candy out with the bill. I LOVE cotton candy! It’s a little too sweet for me now, so I only eat a little bit but I used to eat have a plastic containers worth when I was in college. Luckily I’ve grown out of that phase. ;)
