TGIF!
I started my day with a protein-packed breakfast sandwich on a delicious and impressive hemp bagel (19 grams of protein).
To my bagel, I added an egg white patty (using this method) with chopped sun-dried tomatoes, Munster cheese, and a piece of sliced turkey.
As expected, this sandwich was incredibly satisfying. I have a feeling it’ll hold me over well until lunch.

Question of the Day
To get a free donut or not get a free donut… that is the question!
Pro: Delicious, free, it won’t kill me to enjoy a donut.
Con: Saturated fat, yucky ingredients.
What would you do?

Ha! I was just thinking of that question yesterday, and I say GO FOR IT! Yes it’s made of yucky ingredients, that might I add, you don’t eat everyday! Plus, it’s free! Another good reason to enjoy it all the more
And I don’t eat meat, but holy cow, your sandwich looks awesome!!!!! Yay for Friday!
Nah, I wouldn’t go for the free donut, but I might get the ice cream!
Thankfully there are no Dunkin’ and Friendly’s in Minneapolis, I don’t get the choice. But I would opt for ice cream since I do not like coffee
I’d say get one. You’re not trying to lose weight, and it IS Friday! Fortunately for me, there are no dunkin donuts nearby.
I haven’t had a donut in forever. As a kid, every Sunday morning my dad would take my brother and me to Dunkin Donuts, so if there was one around here in San Diego, I’d totally got for! Chocolate frosted with chocolate milk…sugar overload, yes, but mmmmm!
Ugh, even though I allow myself the occasional indulgences (especially when free!) I just can’t do donuts. They make me not feel too good.
well, not sure what you should do, but i think i’m going to take donut day as an excuse to pick up a mighty-O donut! they’re totally delicious cake donuts that are vegan, organic, trans-fat and preservative free. plus, they’re a local business. still not health food, but definitely a worthy treat! to anyone in seattle– i recommend looking out for these

I think you should get the donut if you have a craving for one. But if you know a cookie would satisfy your sweet tooth more, then go for that instead. Just listen to your body!
Also, your bagel sandwich looks fantastic!! But how did you eat it? It’s huge!
The donut sounds good! Get what you are craving! A donut once in a while won’t kill you, everything in moderation. Life is about enjoying yourself, so I say go for it
I am going to go to the store and pick up one of those hemp bagels. They look so yummy.
Well, wouldn’t you know I just happened to receive a complimentary donut with my latte today and I wasn’t going to eat it because I tried a bite and it was not even good. BUT I ended up just eating it one lackluster bite at a time…just one of those days I guess.
Not worth it. GOOD donuts…Totally worth it!!! Maple Glazed donuts are my absolute favorite.
I looooovvveee donuts. I also love DD (fellow MA resident). BUT, I am not getting one because when I am presented with an unexpected treat I think, “Is this special enough?” For example, at work yesterday someone brought in an apple turnover made all from scratch by her elderly mother. I had a 1 in square bite. And it was awesome! But a Dunkin Donuts donut is something I’ve had plenty of and I love them but it’s nothing special, so I’ll pass.
I have never been a big fan of donuts, I know sad day!
Lovely looking bagel, so protein packed and healthy!
I LOVE donuts. Especially partial to cake donuts(of course I’d like the ones that are even HIGHER calories!!). Since this is something I’m pretty sure most of us avoid on a day to day basis I don’t think it would hurt anyone to treat themselves to one. Now if it was something that you ate all the time, then I’d say you better just skip it!! Can’t wait to see what you decided!!
i just fought the donut temptation and got an unsweetened ice tea. i took a good look at them and decided against it!
Eh, I probably wouldn’t get the dounut. I mean, I’ll take 1/2 of one if someone brings them into work (which doesn’t happend that often) but I tend to crash and burn after having one from the white carbs. A cookie though…sign me up!
Haha Friendly’s…brings me back to the college years (since we don’t have them in CA). Do they still give you free ice cream with certain entrees? I seem to remember that.
I took the kids today and got an iced coffee and they had one donut each. I didn’t want a DD coffee AND a donut, but I think enjoying a donut, even with the yucky ingredients, is okay if you will actually enjoy it. Not if it makes you feel guilty or gross afterwards. You could always get a donut hole. A donut is only 92 cents at DD, so it’s not like it’s a completely unbelievable deal; free stuff is not always free.
Mmm egg sandwiches are my favorite breakfast + muenster is my favorite cheese so your breakfast looks pretty near perfect to me!
I debated the donut issue myself. I was going to DD while out and thought about getting the donut because it was free. Then I remembered I don’t really like donuts so being free shouldn’t be a reason to eat it. That was huge for me because free=eat usually.
Wow – those Hemp bagels look fabulous. I’m going to have to look next time I’m at Whole Foods. I think once in a while a splurge is ok, but donuts shouldn’t be eaten consistently.
I had this debate my self, and I thought, I would rather indulge in something I really want rather than eat a donut just because it was free. By that way of thinking, the cookie was a better choice because you wanted it more.
