Hi, guys! I am loovvving Seattle! I’ve taken lots of pics, but I haven’t blogged much because of my uploader issue. But, just this morning, I found a way around it! I used Ecto to upload my photos then published them to my blog and it worked! Sweet!
I’m a little behind on my posts, but here are some of the highlights from yesterday’s adventures. (You guys can also follow my vacation on Twitter!)
Cafe Ladro
Before breakfast yesterday morning, Mal and I popped into Cafe Ladro to get our java fix. Caffe Ladro is an espresso bar and bakery in the Fremont neightborhood of Seattle.
The decor at Ladros’ is simple, yet sophisticated. I loved the bright red walls and modern ceiling lamps. Cafe Ladro is definitely an easy place to linger.
Fremont seems so eco-friendly! Cafe Ladro offered free “Grounds for your Garden” to their customers. A number of people helped themselves to the free bags. So cool!
At Cafe Ladro, I ordered an iced coffee with rice milk. It was delicious and I’m glad that I gave rice milk a try, but I prefer soy milk in my iced coffee. It makes it much creamier!
Norm’s
After grabbing coffee, Mal and I headed next door to Norm’s for breakfast.
I LOVE NORM’S!!! It’s a funky dog-friendly eatery and ale house with a chill, laid-back vibe. Boston really needs a place like this!
The walls at Norm’s were covered with dog-inspired photos and art work.
As you know, I really love dogs, so having them around when I was hanging out at Norm’s was such a fun experience for me. Having cute, furry creatures around made me soooo happy!
Unfortunately, no PUGS stopped into Norm’s while we were there, but I saw this cute poster. I already convinced Mal that we need this print for our apartment! 😉
For breakfast, I ordered the Veggie Scramble that was scrambled eggs mixed with feta, spinach, and roasted red peppers. The scrambled eggs were to die for! Seriously, these eggs were probably the best I have ever eaten– soft and smooth with lots of natural flavor. The toast was tasty too– thick, grainy, and fresh. The homefries, however, were just so-so. Mal ended up eating them.
There were so many cute dogs at Norm’s!
There were leash holders all over the restaurant to tie up the pups. Smaller dogs jumped into the booths with their owners.
If you’re in the Fremont area and love dogs, Norm’s is a must-see place!
