As expected, Sibylle’s 30th birthday bash was a total BLAST! 😀 The night included all of the essential party elements: an attractive venue, tasty eats, a special drink menu, a heartfelt slideshow, an active dance floor, and non-stop good times with family and friends. From the look of it, everyone really enjoyed themselves!
The party was held at Sole Repair in the First Hill neighborhood of Seattle. Sole Repair is a private event facility with a sort of Manhattan loft feel to it. It was a really great space to host a birthday party.
The decor inside Sole Repair was beautiful. It was minimalist, but chic at the same time. The majority of the space was built with recycled materials and salvaged supplies. I loved the eco-friendliness!
The downstairs at Sole Repair is a big, open area with comfy couches and the bar. The upstairs is a loft with more couches and some tables that overlooks the downstairs.
The party was catered with a wonderful spread of cheeses, meats, and antipasto.
During the party, Mal and I shared a plate of Manchengo cheese, French bread, and prosciutto.
There were also munchies on the bar downstairs– chips, dip, and hummus. The hummus, in particular, looked really good, but I never ended up trying it.
The drink menu for the evening included three 30-inspired selections: the French 30, the Sippy-Sib, and the Dirty 30. The “Sippy-Sib” was a special drink created in honor of the birthday girl.
I loved the birthday cupcake display! So cute! One of Sib’s friends baked all of the cupcakes.
At the party, I enjoyed a glass of red wine. It was a big glass, so it took me most of the night to drink it all. (After getting drunk on the plane the night before, I wasn’t really in the mood to drink a lot.)
I loved Sibylle’s dress!!
Mal and me with his parents…
Sibylle’s friends surprised her with a birthday cake. She loved it!
Sibylle’s birthday celebration was a serious PARTY! By the end of the evening, the dance floor was full of people getting down, and the fun lasted late into the night. We all had a great time!
Happy birthday, Sib!!!
