Flogg DAILY Giveaway

Attention: Planner people!

You are going to looovvve this product! :-D

As you may know, I track my workouts via pen + planner (as well as on the blog). My method is fine and dandy, but the FLogg DAILY or “Food/Fitness Log” is SO MUCH BETTER!

As many of you know, a number of studies have demonstrated that keeping a personal journal is a valuable way to achieving successful weight loss. By tracking your caloric activity (both calories in & out) on a daily basis, you are providing a working history that will help instill healthy behavior as well as offer insight and motivation for permanent lifestyle changes.

The Flogg DAILY is for the fitness-focused:

  • Track caloric activity daily
  • Gauge your progress on personal assessment pages
  • Reference caloric guides for nutrition and exercise
  • Fit for any diet or fitness program
  • Perfect for training sessions

Using the FLogg DAILY, your meals and workouts are divided equally onto two-pages. This gives you plenty of room to track your calories and exercise for a full three months. I’m fairly lax with my calorie-counting and workouts, so I divided the Flogg journal pages in half and used each one for 2 days instead of 1 to extend the life of my Flogg DAILY. However, if you so desire, you can record practically every single detail about your workout and food choices for the day.

The Flogg DAILY is a nice, little journal. It’s classic style looks just like a regular planner, but its contents are geared toward those interested in living a healthy lifestyle– including a place to gauge your progress and a calorie reference guide for a number of foods and exercises. For me, it has come in handy for planning my workouts for the week and keeping calorie estimates on my diet.

Approximate size of the Flogg DAILY:

I love this quote on one of the pages inside the Flogg DAILY:

The secret to winning is constant, consistent management.

It sort of reminds me of my advice to readers who ask me about losing weight. I often tell them to just “keep truckin‘!” Weight loss doesn’t happen over night and so much of it is about consistency– one bad day won’t hinder your efforts, but you’ve gotta get back on track the very next day. In this sense, the Flogg DAILY is a constant reminder of keeping yourself on track.

In just over a week, the Flogg has proved to be a great tool for me. It didn’t give me any sort of diet-exercise epiphany, but it has forced me to assess my eating and workout habits on a daily basis. I love writing things down and crossing them off my list, so the Flogg journal has been the perfect “companion” for keeping me on track. And, of course, I want to keep the pages full with my written accomplishments and progress. It’s motivating to see all of the work you’ve done!

How to enter the Flogg DAILY Giveaway:

On this post, leave me a comment telling me why you need a Flogg DAILY in your life. On Saturday, May 2, I will pick a winner via the Random Integer Generator and announce them on Sunday when I officially return from my blog hiatus. Trust me, you want a Flogg DAILY!

Honestly, I can barely remember the last time I got some solid exercise. Sure, I did a little hiking over the weekend, but that was probably the first time in forever that I’d done anything remotely strenuous. I could definitely use a Flogg so that I could record when I ACTUALLY exercise and hopefully increase my awareness of how much more attention that area of my life needs.

I need a Flogg because when I keep an online diary I am too tempted to keep close track of the exact amount of calories in each thing I eat – that gets exhausting. I just want a diary that would make it easy to keep track of what I eat, not necessarily count everything that is in it. Keeps me accountable for my own actions!

i NEED a flogg daily because i record my workouts and caloric intake in too many different places! i use thedailyplate.com to track my calories, the self challenge website to keep track of my calories and my workouts, and my gym’s website to track my workouts. a flogg daily will help me keep it all in one place–so i don’t wake up at night wondering if i forgot to track something!! thank you!

p.s. i’m eating your favorite oatmeal, pumpkin, peanut butter puffins and peanut butter concoction as i write! thanks for the idea!

I could so use an actual Food/Exercise tracker, rather than the little notebook I have. The pages get so cluttered because I’m trying to fit everything in so neatly and there just isn’t enough room so I often get discouraged! Buying a bigger notebook isn’t much of an option since I still get them all cluttered because of my need to keep track of everything, so I usually only keep track online. It’s much nicer to be able to flip quickly through and see your progress, or keep track when you aren’t near a computer It’d be great to help me get more organized which is my goal this year!

honestly, I don’t NEED a FLogg Daily, but I would LOVE to have one. I just view needs differently from wants I guess :) I’ve struggled with healthy eating habits for years and tracking on pen and paper has led me to far more success than using the computer. I use regular spiral notebooks and it takes me so much time to write out all my little charts and places to fill in food, workouts, water, vitamins, etc. it’s time consuming and I’d love something pre-made like that to make it easier on me. unfortunately $18 is not in my budget for a notebook (poor college student! I am actually studing to be a Registered Dietitian, so this would be perfect for me!) so winning one would be so great! I really need to focus on getting proper nutrients, working out, and watching calories. as much as I’d love to lose about 10-15 more pounds, I am more concerned with getting some energy back and being healthy. thanks so much for offering this contest and all the others you offer!

Wow, the Flogg daily looks so amazing! I could use the flogg to help me keep all of the information I am trying to track in one spot. Currently I am having quite a problem keeping it all together because I write down my calorie intake, exercise, water consumption and track a bunch of other nutrients all over sticky notes that I always end up losing. So, I believe that the flogg will help me invest in my health by allowing me to keep track of what I am putting into my body as well as being a great tool to record my progress.

I’m a huge planner, that’s for sure! I usually just enter in my stats on the computer now, but I’m totally an old fashioned girl – I love my pen and paper. I’ve never found a product like this, so now I can get back to my old ways!

I’ve moved 5 times in the past year (school-related) and have been working out w/ whatever access I can get! It would be nice to have an overall view, more month-to-month things, so I can avoid ruts and routines that my body has adapted to.
oh, and I’m obsessed with lists and agendas, etc, and having cool tools to feed that.

    thanks!

I would love something to force me even further into telling the truth about what I eat and how much I work out so I can keep it consistent! Ever since I have started my diet, I have been doing great – just keeping a calorie log on my blackberry has been doing great for me, but, this lloks more detailed and as I move into the next phase of my diet, it would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!

OMG, I would LOOOOOVE this thing – I’m a HUGE planner and list-maker. (My husband teases me that I have lists of lists of lists) … I’m currently using my day planner for logging food/exercise, but then I have no room for my other daily lists! :)

I usually just write down the things I eat in a notebook, its gets very confusing sometimes with all different things sticking out-of it, scratchy pen marks etc. I need something to organize my food journals! the FLOGGDaily would be perfecto!

this would DEF help out and aid me in tracking my meals, energy expended at the gym or work and what not, and help me see what i need to make UP for for what’s lost working out. this is key for my recovery and would probably put a lot in to perspective for me!

The Flogg Daily Planner sounds wonderful. I currently keep my daily training information in a spiral notebook and an online training log. I include all of my workouts, but not what I am eating. I think the Flogg would be good for keeping everything in one place!

    Hi Tina,
I would LOVE one of those journals. I do pretty intense cardio and strength training about four times a week, but I never keep track of it, and I know I would be infinitely more motivated to so so if I had a special place to write it all down. I would especially benefit from this from the strength training–I NEVER write down weights or reps and I know I really should. I also write down what I eat, but very haphazardly in the back of one of my school notebooks. So, I could really use one of these! Thanks for running the contest.
