Hey, friends! Happy Monday!
How was your weekend? Did it snow where you are? We were *supposed* to get a huge snow storm, but we ended up barely getting anything after all of the hype. And, of course, I am especially thankful for that. After last winter, I am so over snow for awhile! Anyway, we had a nice weekend over here, and I am going to recap it in numbers!

The brand sent me some of their salads last week, and I am truly obsessed. They are legit salads with made with organic and interesting ingredients”” meaning they’re not your usual romaine lettuce/grape tomato/red onion/cucumber salads. They’re made with seriously nutritious ingredients (many of them are superfoods), so they’re packed with omega-3s, antioxidants, and plenty of plant-based proteins. (Some of their salads include Non-GMO Project-verified chicken too!) Here’s just a sampling of some of the ingredients: Aronia Berries, Cacao Nibs, Sorghum, Chia Seeds, Red Azuki Beans, Goji Berries, Cashews, Wheatberries, and Quinoa.
Ok, since I’m on a roll here, I also want to tell you that the ElevAte salad dressings are incredible. They’re light and flavorful, and there’s just the right amount, so it adds a little something-something to your salad, but doesn’t drench it either. And, finally, there are 8 different salad recipes, so you always have a delicious option to try! One more thing: The Caesar Vinaigrette and Creamy Honey Mustard Dressing on the Spinach-Pow salad are both to die for!! OMG.
And elevAte is giving away a ton of great fitness gear + 4 grand prizes including gym memberships, gift cards, and an Apple watch, so be sure to enter for a chance to win!

That’s crazy on the pull-ups. I am trying to get my first one. How long did it take before you were able to do them? What sorts of progressions did you find the most helpful while you were either trying to achieve the pull-up or get stronger at them?
I think it took me about 9 months to really get them. Here a post I wrote with some tips: http://carrotsncake.com/2013/01/tips-for-kipping-pull-up-success.html Hope it helps!!
