Another week of workouts is in the books! I’m still feeling pretty good overall, but, man, pull-ups and squat thrusts are getting harder and harder! Even still, I’m happy with my activity this week. Here is a recap!
Sunday: Off
Monday: CrossFit
“Healthy Living Challenge Baseline” workout. I was almost a minute slower this time around (+ nine pounds heavier), but I PR-ed my 5-rep Thruster (#95 pounds) during the strength part of the workout.
Tuesday: Off
Wednesday: CrossFit
We did “Evel Knievel” (Double Unders, Burpees, Overhead Squats). Recap here!
Thursday: 20-minute, at-home workout in my basement
Friday: Off
Saturday: 30-minute hotel workout
Yesterday morning, Mal and I did a 30-minute, high-intensity workout in the hotel gym where we were staying this weekend. His workout was a little different than mine””mostly because he’s not pregnant””but we worked out together for the most part. Here’s the workout that I did:
- 1/2 mile run on the treadmill
- Tabata of air squats + dumbbell push presses (#40)
- 5 x 5 dumbbell squats (#50)
- 21-15-9 dumbbell Thusters (#30) + Squat Thrusts
- 1/2 mile run on the treadmill

I find it challenging to get a good workout in when traveling!
Love the at home workout!
I usually run outside (if it’s a safe area) or follow YouTube workout video’s on my laptop or head to the hotel gym!
Btw, I’m 18 weeks pregnant and it’s so motivating seeing you workout throughout your pregnancy! 🙂
If I have time, I try to go for a run when I’m traveling. It’s a great way to get moving and get my bearings in the area. But it’s not always convenient to do so, so I try to hit up the hotel gym like you, or at least do some abs and squats in my room!
High intensity workouts are my favorite for traveling! I like bodyweight exercises (like burpees) for when there are no free weights available, but it’s a plus when there are weights. If there’s no hotel gym at all, walking outside or a hotel room workout is great too!
I try to just do something short and sweet when I travel – if there’s a hotel fitness room, I do what I can in there, otherwise I’ll walk and explore the area of do a little workout (similar to yours) in the room!
Way to go girl! You’re looking great! When I travel, I’ll usually get in a run on the treadmill, if I’m not too busy doing fun stuff. Typically, my travel involves lots of walking, so I don’t feel too bad.
You go girl! Your workouts are amazing. I am hard core in the my workouts, but I’m not sure I could do it with a growing belly. You make it look and sound so easy!
I love circuit workouts when I’m traveling– they’re fast and to the point!
When I am travelling I usually try to plan a deload week and focus on metabolic type circuits just to keep moving when I can. Finding a local gym and getting some free trial passes or using the hotel gym and being creative usually works best for me. No excuses!
Way to go!! I usually like to do circuit work outs that involve body weight since I don’t have weights with me. HITT workouts are also great to do!
Way to keep up the workouts while traveling & pregnant!
When I travel I usually do a workout at the gym there or do one in the hotel room!
If we travel to a locale where being outdoors is not an option (snow!) I definitely struggle. Especially as we normally stay with our family, our time is sucked into hugs and snuggles and laughter which is always amazing but does leave me feeling lethargic. Lately I’ve taken to packing exercise dvds and just keeping myself accountable!
You are literally the fittest-looking pregnant woman I think I’ve ever seen! You look awesome, I love to hear about your workouts! Keep these updates coming!
Thank you!! â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸
Since I’m usually trying to get in a quick hotel gym workout, I love doing strength tabatas!
Same here. Tabatas are quick and efficient! 😄
What a cute belly! It’s so fun being the preggo at the gym…or Crossfit box in your case. 🙂 I don’t worry about working out so much when I’m on vacation. Usually I find our vacations are packed with loads of walking if nothing else. I might work in a hotel workout once a week, but I don’t stress if I don’t. Then I just get right back at it once I’m home.
Wow your workouts impress me so much! You look amazing!
Aww, thank you! â¤ï¸
Wow well done on all the workouts both whilst travelling and being pregnant. I find I tend to do more HIIT workouts and running if the place I am staying has no gym or limited equipment.
