Guys, I have eaten SO MUCH granola lately… well, technically, Renola. I seriously can’t stop eating the stuff!! It’s so frickin’ good and so easy to eat while standing in the kitchen in the middle of the night while holding an infant. Anyway, I just wanted to share some of the recipes I’ve made using it because they are quite tasty, and I thought you guys might like them too!
Grain-Free Almond Butter Granola Balls
These Grain-Free Almond Butter Granola Balls combine so many of my favorite flavors together: almond butter, honey, coconut, and chocolate (from the Renola). I like eating one or two of these right before a workout when I need a little something in my stomach. They also make an awesome dessert, especially if you make them with the Cocoa Coconut flavor!
Ingredients:
- 1.5 cups Renola granola
- 3/4 cup creamy almond butter
- 2 tbsp coconut oil, melted
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/8 tsp sea salt
- 1/3 cup shredded coconut
Directions: Combine ingredients, except shredded coconut, in a mixing bowl. Refrigerator for 2+ hours. Remove mixture from fridge, roll batter into 1-inch balls, and then coat in shredded coconut and place on wax paper. Chill balls in fridge for another couple of hours. Eat and enjoy!

Coffee Cinnamon Nut Smoothie
I’m all about satisfying smoothies and adding granola was a great way to pump-up the filling factor. This one combines the flavors of banana, coffee, cinnamon, and honey for a subtly sweet, yet dessert-like smoothie. Blend one up for a delicious, nutritious, and satisfying snack or dessert!
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup cinnamon nut Renola granola
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 ounce espresso or strong coffee
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1 tsp honey
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
Directions: Combine ingredients in a blender until smooth. Pour into a glass and enjoy!

I have never tried putting granola into my smoothie before. But the flavors sound delicious! Is the granola sold in stores? I haven’t seen it yet.
Yep, at Target! 😄
I have got to get my hands on Renola. I’ve heard so many great things!
I really want to try some of that Renola! It looks amazing!
That coffee cinnamon smoothie looks amazing!
That smoothie sounds amazing!
Will definitely be giving this a try!
The smoothie looks so good! Going to definitely try this!
Um, they look awesome, and they’re grain free so I can actually eat them and I’m sure my kids will love too! Great one 🙂
Mmmm, I sampled some of that Renola. Good stuff!
That’s pretty genius combining two of your favorite things: granola + coffee… looks so good!
I have made a coffee smoothie (my recent obsession) but I love your added ingredients 🙂 Thanks for the great post!
that all looks sooooo good. I would never have thought to use gernola like that.
I’ve been seeing that granola in my natural grocery store. Looks like I need to try it! I’ve been on an energy ball kick lately and this one looks perfect to try next!
oh man….I freaking LOVE granola! It’s so addicting for me though!
Renola! This stuff looks amazing. I am gonna have to go grab a bag today to top my Greek yogurt with.
I am obsessed with granola lately too. I’ll have to try this since I have been getting the simple elizabeth pumpkin fig at target too. It’s SO good. 🙂 I put it on overnight oats (oats on oats?) and in smoothies and sometimes just munch on a few handfuls out of the bag. Yum.
Yum! I just got home from the gym and I so want that smoothie right now. These recipes both look delicious!
That smoothie would have been the perfect Monday morning treat yesterday! I’ve never added coffee to a smoothie either, look at you! So creative!
I was on a granola kick awhile back–this inspires me to start up again!
That smoothie looks so good! I’m starting to love fall flavors again so I’m excited to see anything with cinnamon.
Is that granola GF? I just happen to have all the ingredients (homemade granola, cold brewed strong Cafe L’Orange coffee, & orange blossom honey) so I just made it and am sitting here drinking it now. I love it ! It’s a big change from my normal pb/banana, or chocolate cherry , or plain fruit ones. The granola & the cinnamon really add something. Thanks for the great recipe!
As I sit here right now eating a smoothie for lunch, I am craving the one you made…I do have one question…you used a 1/4 cup of granola, but did you blend all of that and add more on the top of use some of that 1/4 on the top?
thanks 🙂
Yep, I added more on top! 🙂
I’ve seen Larabar’s new goodies in my local grocery store and need to just take the plunge and get it. My fear is I won’t be able to stop once I start!
It’s so good! You’ll love it!
Hi Tina,
I just discovered your blog and I’m already hooked! I love this almond butter ball recipe and I can’t wait to try it. I make a similar recipe with hemp hearts that is so good, and I’m interested to try it wth the renola. Larabar makes great products and I love them because they are natural ingredients. I am a huge granola fan myself and I’m always looking for healthy versions of it. Love these recipes!
