Good morning and happy Friday!
I’m off to Newport, Rhode Island with the Haupert family this afternoon. I am pumped. It’s my FAVORITE weekend of the year. We always have so much fun, and Mal and I look forward to it all year long. I’m bringing my laptop, but I’m not sure if I am going to blog from there. We shall see. If I don’t, I’ll see ya on Monday!
Since it’s Friday, here’s a food-inspired Friday Favorites post with a bunch of my recent edible favs. I really can’t get enough of these foods lately!
Nikki’s Pumpkin Spiced Donut Coconut Butter
Yes, this is real life and, omg, it’s amazing. Nikki offered to send me a jar of her new pumpkin spiced donut flavor (obviously, I couldn’t turn her down), and this stuff is incredible. It tastes just like a pumpkin-flavored old fashioned donut. Holy, holy, holy yum! I have already eaten half the jar myself.
Roasted garlic
Ok, this is probably old news for people, but roasting garlic in the oven is SO SIMPLE and SO DELICIOUS. Lately, I’ve been spreading it on crackers, mashing it into baked sweet potatoes, and mixing it with spaghetti squash, butter, and grated Parmesan cheese for an easy, cheesy, and delicious meal. I seriously love roasted garlic.

Terra Krinkle Cut Sweet Potato Chips
Has anyone tried these? They’re amazing. I used to buy the Terra Sweet Potato & Beet chips, which are good, but these are a million times better. They’re thicker and the krinkle cut is especially tasty with hummus, guacamole, and other dips. Actually, they’re tasty alone too. I chowed them after a long run when I really wanted salt, and they totally hit the spot.
Sweet Potato & Buckwheat Burgers
I just created this recipe for Sweet Potato & Buckwheat Burgers the other day. They turned out so well, and I can’t wait to share the recipe with you guys. I’ll be on Health next week!
Sea Salt Caramels covered in Dark Chocolate
I still can’t believe CVS makes these. They are incredible. Mal and I polished them off in just a few days. Need more ASAP.
Sriracha!
You guys were right; I’ve been putting Sriracha on everything. FYI: It’s really good on Sweet Potato Hash and Paleo Pad Thai!
Paleo Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins
I baked these muffins yesterday for a post I am writing for the JUNK blog, and I have already eaten like 6 of them. Yum and hooray for pumpkin! And chocolate!
