Good morning and happy Friday!
I’m off to Newport, Rhode Island with the Haupert family this afternoon. I am pumped. It’s my FAVORITE weekend of the year. We always have so much fun, and Mal and I look forward to it all year long. I’m bringing my laptop, but I’m not sure if I am going to blog from there. We shall see. If I don’t, I’ll see ya on Monday!
Since it’s Friday, here’s a food-inspired Friday Favorites post with a bunch of my recent edible favs. I really can’t get enough of these foods lately!
Nikki’s Pumpkin Spiced Donut Coconut Butter
Yes, this is real life and, omg, it’s amazing. Nikki offered to send me a jar of her new pumpkin spiced donut flavor (obviously, I couldn’t turn her down), and this stuff is incredible. It tastes just like a pumpkin-flavored old fashioned donut. Holy, holy, holy yum! I have already eaten half the jar myself.
Roasted garlic
Ok, this is probably old news for people, but roasting garlic in the oven is SO SIMPLE and SO DELICIOUS. Lately, I’ve been spreading it on crackers, mashing it into baked sweet potatoes, and mixing it with spaghetti squash, butter, and grated Parmesan cheese for an easy, cheesy, and delicious meal. I seriously love roasted garlic.

Terra Krinkle Cut Sweet Potato Chips
Has anyone tried these? They’re amazing. I used to buy the Terra Sweet Potato & Beet chips, which are good, but these are a million times better. They’re thicker and the krinkle cut is especially tasty with hummus, guacamole, and other dips. Actually, they’re tasty alone too. I chowed them after a long run when I really wanted salt, and they totally hit the spot.
Sweet Potato & Buckwheat Burgers
I just created this recipe for Sweet Potato & Buckwheat Burgers the other day. They turned out so well, and I can’t wait to share the recipe with you guys. I’ll be on Health next week!
Sea Salt Caramels covered in Dark Chocolate
I still can’t believe CVS makes these. They are incredible. Mal and I polished them off in just a few days. Need more ASAP.
Sriracha!
You guys were right; I’ve been putting Sriracha on everything. FYI: It’s really good on Sweet Potato Hash and Paleo Pad Thai!
Paleo Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins
I baked these muffins yesterday for a post I am writing for the JUNK blog, and I have already eaten like 6 of them. Yum and hooray for pumpkin! And chocolate!

I cant wait to try Nikki’s new flavor…I love her other ones so I know this one will be a hit!
I love ALL of these things! (well the ones I haven’t tried sound good). I absolutely LOVE roasted garlic, but I have some IBS issues and garlic does not agree with my stomach. I so wish this wasn’t true because I would eat the whole bulb!
I made a coconut and cashew butter which is dreamy but that Nikki’s one sounds AMAZING!!!!
Sadly you don’t get most of these products down here in South Africa, but they sure do look delicious!!
Seriously you are my food double. Pumpkin flavored (and donut to boot) anything… check. Sweet potato inspired food…awesome. Roasted garlic – just flavorful butter right? Some like it hot…then some like Sriracha on everything. I drank juice every morning until my juicer was tragically broken (I still need to replace that thing and get started again).
Woo hoo! Newport is my hometown!!! Enjoy!!
All these things are definitely some of my favourites as well.
I haven’t tried that particular brand of coconut butter, but coconut butter is simply one of my favourites.
As well as pumpkin muffins, pumpkin bread, basically all things pumpkin this time of year.
Oh and can’t forget the lovely green juices!
Pumpkin spice coconut butter sounds amazing! My current favorites are nut butters, always a favorite, pumpkin flavored baked goods and fall apples and squash!
I have been meaning to try those coconut butters. I have almost gone through a jar of it myself in the past week (+ a jar of almond butter)…it’s my crack
Yay for sriracha! Those sweet potato chips look awesome too. I love a brand that I only seem to find at TJMaxx, oddly enough, but they’re a maple chipotle flavor. So good!
Thank you for reminding me I have garlic I have to use up! I’m grabbing some of those caramels! YUM!
Marinate any meat in sriracha, it gives a nice little kick and leaves a tingle in your tummy! π
Ooh yum! Great idea with the sriracha!
anything pumpkin is top of my list right now- especially pumpkin smoothies!
Too funny…I just did a post of what I’m loving lately yesterday! I’m loving chocolate PB, Barney Almond butter, So Delicious cashew milk and this awesome salt/garlic grinder.
That coconut butter sounds amazing! Roasted garlic is definitely the best thing ever. So yummy!
Holy crap that coconut butter looks amazing!! I am going to order some today. Lately, I am loving any food that is orange π
I am so loving peanut butter and banana! Such a quick and easy snack! I am also loving BBQ Kettle Chips! OMG!
Super excited for the Sweet Potato & Buckwheat Burger recipe! I have randomly been loving vegan protein powder haha
I’ve been getting into green beans lately after a big break from them! π
Pumpkin + chocolate chips are a great combo. I just made a similar recipe recently too!
I’ve been on a chai tea kick lately for some reason!
Enjoy your weekend!
Pumpkin and candy corn. Does that count!?! Haha !
Warm beverages of any kind in the morning! Pumpkin/carrot bran muffins (my favorite go to recipe) and homemade soups – you can tell our cooler weather has arrived!
Just a warning about roasted garlic. I LOOOOOOVE garlic and last year I made a roasted garlic soup with a huge a$$ amount of roasted garlic. I had the worst gas and stomach ache the next day, it hurt so bad!!!!
Those salted caramels look so awesome! I need to visit a CVS asap!!
We just bought our first juicer this week (yay!!) and have been experimenting with all kinds of mixtures. I have everything on hand for the beet-apple-ginger juice from your Health article, so I may need to try that tonight!
Well, obviously anything with pumpkin like the pumpkin spice English muffins. I am also obsessed with making my own kale chips!
I just recently discovered Terra chips and I am IN LOVE! That, and the True North nut clusters. Best. thing. ever.
I love those nut clusters too!
I just ordered Nikki’s Coconut Butter in Pumpkin Spice Donut! I can’t wait to try it! I’m obsessed with all things pumpkin : )
Yay! ENJOY! Γ°ΕΈΛβ
Whoooo, you have been busy in the kitchen!
Have a great time in Newport, should be a great weekend weather wise!
I think we must have the same taste buds. Everything here sounds SO good to me! I really need to buy some coconut butter – still have never tried it!
I still need to try Niki’s!! Where can I buy it? Or do you always order it online?
Yep, I always get it online. Nikki does the majority of her coconut butter sales online. She also sells it at farmer’s markets in Juniper, FL.
Sriracha is awesome!! I COVER my pad thai in every time. So delicious.
I’ll have to look for those at CVS. Since when did they get all gourmet?!
You had me at pumpkin spiced donut coconut butter. Holy yum! Hope you have a great weekend with the fam! π
I can’t wait to make roasted garlic tonight!
I love the discoveries of sriracha and roasted garlic. I just got on Pinterest. “New” discoveries this week for sure. π
I’ve been loving pumpkin lately but that’s always. Also this amazing pepita hummus from my favorite Mexican restaurant!
So glad you’ve hopped on the Sriracha train! It really is the best π
My husband loves roasted garlic! He used to make it all the time! I’m pretty into Halloween candy these days – I start early π And I could eat the entire package of Muenster cheese…it is SO yummy!

Would love to see the recipe for the Paleo Pumpkin Chocolate Chip muffins soon! Sounds perfect! I am in a pumpkin mood as well!
Sriracha sauce is my favorite! I could eat it on anything. π
Ooooh that coconut butter sounds amaze. Must have soon!
That coconut butter sounds SO GOOD! I love pumpkin donuts! The food I’m loving most lately is a vegan peanut butter parfait that I get at this amazing vegan cafΓΒ© close to where I go to school. It’s out of this world but I’ve been good about only having it once every few weeks, even though it has no refined sugar, is gluten-free, and cholesterol-free. I’m planning on recreating it this weekend!
Yum! I have also been putting sriracha on everything. I used to hate it, but now I feel like I need that extra kick! I know you like Laughing Cow cheese, so if you want a creamy dip, try mixing sriracha with plain Laughing Cow. I’ve done it a couple times before, and it is great on sandwiches!
I am loving apple cider! I also just got hooked on Trader Joe’s banana chips, and I have fallen in love with unsweetened vanilla almond milk!
I always see you have jars of Nikki’s Coconut Butter. I HAVE to try some asap. And I’ve been craving dark chocolate and sea salt. That is one of my favorite combos ever. And with caramel?! Even better.
The pumpkin spiced donut coconut butter sound delicious… I use an almond butter and I love it… Can’t wait for the sweet potato and buckwheat burger recipe… Have a great weekend…
tj’s crinkle sweet potato chips are awesome! check them out!
I always buy the big bottle of Sriracha sauce from H.E.B here in Houston! I like it so much better than other hot sauces. It goes well on everything. My favorite is definitely PIZZA! And I cannot believe I haven’t roasted garlic yet…need to get on this ASAP.
Oh my gosh- recipe for those pumpkin muffins?? π I have been obsessed with smoothies lately because I just bought a Vitamix. And it’s still 90 degrees here haha
Thanks for the new food recommendations! Have fun on your trip π
Love your blog!
