I have running fever! π―
After yesterday’s Boston Marathon Pre-Party Blogger Meet-Up at Cambridge, 1.,Β all I want to do is run. And sign up for another marathon. What?! Who said that?
I got running fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell!
But, really, I spent nearly two hours straight talking about running, and now I want to sign up for even more races. (I realize I have a problem.)
Fellow bloggers, Lizzy and KimΒ hosted the event, which had quite the turn out of lady runners!
The event included flatbread pizza and other appetizers.
Cupcakes made by Kim!
Goodies bags!
And giveaways to win gift certificates to the South End Athletic Company as well as New Balance sneakers! Great prizes, right?!
It was so nice to meet and get to know these women, especially since I just discovered the world of running blogs. It’s funny how my Google Reader has morphed from mostly food blogs to fitness blogs in the past several months.
I definitely found some new running blogs to add my daily rotation!
Thanks for a great event, Lizzy and Kim!
Good luck on Monday, runners!!!

Such a fun way to meet new people! I am sure that atmosphere in Boston is just amazing right now. Good luck to all the runners!
That would definitely leave me inspired to sign up for races galore, too! So, what are the running blogs you’ve been liking lately?
I can’t wait to huddle in the back corner of my office tomorrow morning, sneak-watching the Boston Marathon online! π GO KARA GOUCHER!!!
What a fun meet-up! Some of these women have amazing blogs. Boston is certainly the place to be this weekend for a fitness blogger!
Yep, reading running blogs totally makes me want to sign up for races too. It keeps me motivated!
Those cupcakes have Reese’s Pieces on top – my favorite!
Of all the habits to have, running is a pretty good one! Says the girl who spent an hour last night practicing yoga handstands and forearm balance and is now off to class.
Yay for finding more things to challenge yourself and your body with! And reading about someone’s running or yoga or hiking is much more exciting than reading about their food! (except sushi, that is still exciting.)
Definitely a cool event! The food and the prizes sound awesome. Gotta love finding other like minded bloggers out there. Enjoy Marathon Monday!
You have to be careful the company you keep, or you’ll end up in more races…that’s how I ended up doing a marathon….it’s contagious!
Running is infectious that’s for sure! I’ve just finished watching the London Marathon and now I’m having dangerous thoughts!
Looks like a fun event. What was in the goodie bags??
@Christine @ Burning It Off: All sorts of good stuff: socks, a hat, lots of coupons, snacks!
I love running blogs too – and I’m way too race addicted with something like 40 on this years calendar (including triathlons though).
I love talking about running with people that actually run! Most of my friends just give me blank stares. I’m big on the running blogs as well. π
@Ali @ Ali Runs: Which ones are your favorites? I’m still trying to build my list! π
So much fun!! I wish I made it! Next time for sure!
How fun for all of you! Must be getting exciting!
Talking/reading about running always motivate me to run, as do days off so I can totally imagine how you are feeling right now :)!
PLEASE share your favourite running blogs! I definitely need more of those in my rss. PLEASE!
(Blogs are so addicting!)
So glad you were able to join in on the fun! Our lives are constantly growing and changing, and I think it’s great that you’re enjoying another focus of healthy living! Sounds like a fabulous meet-up!
what a great idea for an event!
So nice that you got to meet new bloggers π Have a great Sunday! π
Looks like a fun time! I bet that reading the running blogs help to give you a lot of running inspiration.
What a fun event! It’s always fun to find new blogs to read. There are SO many out there.
Hope you get to fulfill your fever!
Best of luck to all the runners who will be participating in this year’s Boston! Hopefully I’ll be able to catch it. Watching the Finish line is so inspirational! π
I would love to talk about running for 2 hours straight!
I would love to hear what some of your favorite running blogs are! π
I agree – Kimmy and Lizzy did a fantastic job! I loved being able to talk to all those crazy runners…and it gave me race fever as well! In fact, I think blogging has been really bad for my race addiction. π
I also had a similar shift in the blogs that I read. When I first started, I read mostly food blogs (even though mine was not) but then gradually over time I shifted and now I read way more running blogs than anything else. And it only helps fuel the fire, because I find out about all these cool-sounding races I wouldn’t have known about otherwise!
It was great seeing you yesterday! Hopefully we can plan some more local runner/blogger meet-ups this spring and summer!
This looks like so much fun Tina! I’m going to check out the blogs of some of these ladies because I’ve lost my racing motivation lately and I feel they’d probably help me get it back. Thanks! π
What a fun event! It’s always fun to talk about the things you love with people that feel the same way! Have a great day Tina!
Hey Tina! Thanks for coming! Had a ton of fun : )
Would love for you to join us next time we all get together for a run and lunch. I’ll keep you posted. Have fun in Vegas : )
We should all be so blessed to have such a problem, Teen! π
So great to meet you yesterday! I love that your running addiction is growing so rapidly! The Boston blogger crew makes me wish I still lived in New England. You guys have an extremely awesome group of local running ladies. I’m glad so many of you are doing the 10k in NYC in June!
Have fun on your vacay!
Talking about running with other people always pumps me up to run too. π That looks like it was a great event!
So fun! Can’t take my eyes off of the cupcakes with Reeses on top. π
Looks like a fabulous event… marathon weekend in Boston is always so motivating, even if you aren’t training for a marathon yourself! I am ready to sign up for some races too!
that event looks so great!!! Glad you had a good time!!!
I always get the racing itch when I hear someone talk about racing! I have a race in two weeks, so when I hear all about the Boston marathon tomorrow, at least I know I will have my own race to look forward to soon π
That looked like a very fun event.
Meeting more running buddies? Always a good thing:-)
Yum those mini cupcakes have my name written all over them!!
What a fun time with the ladies Tina!
I know some of those ladies! π Looks like a fun event! Wish I didn’t have to work.
I love doing races too–and want to sign up for more!! Pretty cupcakes π
I bet Boston is insane right now!! Good Luck to all the runners!!
What a fun event! It’s so energizing to be around people that share your interests!
My step mom is running the Boston Marathon tomorrow! I am going to follow her on the runner tracker system that AT&T set-up.
so great to meet you!! LOVE the recap π
Great to see you at the meet up! Welcome to the world of running/fitness blogs…I’m biased, but I like our little world! π
Finally getting to comment on this! It was so nice to meet you and so glad you had fun with all us running bloggers π its a fun community!
