Good morning, friends!
So, I have a little change of plans for today (well, Mother Nature had the change of plans): I’m doing my 3:00 run later this morning. Solo. Yikes. I had originally planned to do it on Saturday with a friend, who was going to join me for more than half of it, but it’s going to rain/snow, so I figured today would be the better day. (It’s chilly, but sunny.) Plus, I haven’t worked out since Monday, so my legs are good and rested and ready to run. Wish me luck!
Since my head is totally in long run mode right now, I decided to tell you guys a bunch of random things this morning. Hey, these kinds of posts are fun, right? I think so. I hope you do too because here are some wonderfully random tidbits from my life right now!
I’m going to BLEND on behalf of General Mills, and I am so incredibly excited and thankful! Anyone else going? I can’t wait to see some new and old blogger buddies in person!
I’ve had a serious craving for Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies. Maybe today will be the day that I make them?
“Purple-blue Powerade” does not exist. I went on a wild goose chase looking for this stuff the other day (for Mal), and it does not exist. It’s actually “Frost” Gatorade that he was thinking of. Good thing I bought that flavor too! Haha!
We started to put Murphy in “pug jail” (aka the kitchen behind a baby gate) while Quinn eats. (Quinn likes to feed him.) However, I let the pug “clean up” when mealtime is really messy.
I’m already thinking about my post-run treat from Whole Foods. I’m thinking hot bar + cupcake to celebrate?
Keeping a 9-month old entertained during a conference call takes some serious coordination. I gave Quinn one toy at a time to play with while I had a conference call the other day. This tactic mostly worked, but, let’s just say, thank goodness for mute buttons! Haha!
Quinn, Murphy, and I all have birthdays that are 5 days apart. Quinn is June 9, Murphy is June 14, and I’m the 19th. Five is also my favorite number. I’m not sure this means anything, but I like to think it does.
We’re taking Quinn to Oregon this summer to visit family. I am so excited for everyone to meet him. And we really need to start thinking about buying our plane tickets. It’s going to be here before we know it!
I found Sweetos at Stop & Shop yesterday and broke open the bag as soon as I got home. A friend of mine works for Frito Lay and gave me a little preview of their new, limited time-only Sweetos back in the fall. I was obsessed immediately and couldn’t wait for them to hit store shelves. They are honestly one of the best things I have ever eaten. Ever. They’re like little bites of crunchy fried dough. OMG.
I slept on the couch last night. No reason other than I was super comfortable and half asleep after lounging and watching TV.
Questions of the Day
Are you taking any trips this summer? Where to?
Have you tried Sweetos?
When was the last time you slept on the couch?
