• What I’m Loving Lately VIII

    April 10, 2014

    Good morning and happy Thursday!

Here’s another edition of What I’m Loving Lately!

    Baby clothes from my shower

Obviously, I know clothes for little girls are absolutely adorable—the bows, ruffles, and frills—but I never knew baby clothes for little boys could be so darn cute. That said, here are some favorites from my shower…

Pug high tops!! I honestly can’t get over these. Baby Haupert is going to wear them all the time!

    Whale shorts!

    IMG_8561 (900x675)

And an anchor bowtie! Oh, so preppy.

    IMG_8563 (900x675)

PJs with monster feet! Baby H. also got PJs with sharks on them! So cool.

For some reason this stripped tank top outfit reminds me of something Mal would wear… well, not a one-piece with a turtle and caterpillar on the front, but the tank top and stripes remind me of Mal’s summer clothing.

Onesie with a tie and elbow pads!

Ridiculously cute, right? And there are so many other adorable things he received too. Cute overload for sure!

    Ibotta

Have you heard about Ibotta? If not, it’s AWESOME! It’s basically an app that gives cash when you shop. Once you download it onto your smartphone or tablet, you earn money by unlocking rebates by completing little tasks, like learning a fact or playing trivia. (They take like 10 seconds to complete.) You can also redeem coupons and offers after you go shopping. For instance, if the store is an Ibotta Preferred Partner, such as Target, Whole Foods, and CVS just to name a few (there are TONS of grocery stores on the list), you can scan your receipt or loyalty card and earn cash that way too. IT IS AWESOME!!!

The best part about Ibotta is that you earn real money, not points or anything like that. 100% of your earnings can be transferred to PayPal or Venmo as soon as you’ve earned $5. If you’d like a gift card instead, you can start cashing out as soon as you’ve earned $2. Definitely sign up for Ibotta if you are into savvy shopping and saving money!

    These Awesome Kid Answers

I saw this on Facebook the other day and found it quite amusing, so I just had to share it on CNC. I also thought the teachers might really enjoy it!

    Carrot Cake Soufflé Pancakes

I made a batch of these Carrot Cake Soufflé Pancakes over the weekend for Mal and me and, woah, I forgot how amazing they are. We actually didn’t have any carrots, so the pancakes ended up being plain soufflé pancakes, but the recipe is still incredible. Definitely whip up a batch of these if you’re in the mood for something special this weekend!

    Cucumber Dill Boats

I created this snack for The Laughing Cow, and I have been eating it non-stop lately. Just use a grapefruit spoon to scoop out the flesh of a mini cucumber, spread your favorite kind of cheese from The Laughing Cow inside, and top with fresh dill, salt, and pepper. I love how light, cheesy, and delicious it tastes. It reminds me of summer!

    Leftover cupcakes

My sister sent me home with about 10 leftover cupcakes after my shower, and I’ve eaten one (sometimes two) every day since Sunday. It’s a good thing Baby Haupert loves cupcakes too!

Gah! Those clothes are so adorable! Love the elbow pads on the onesie. Also, those kids are brilliant. I would have probably had to answer the same way for most of them–clearly math and science have not stuck with me very well.

We had those monster PJs in 0-3 months – they’re terrycloth with a monster on the bum, right? I was so sad when C grew out of them… They run big so we DID get a little extra wear out of them. I love the anchor bowtie! Whales and elephants are also favorites of mine. C’s a November baby, so I’m super excited to be moving on to spring and summer clothes. You’re so fortunate to be having your little guy when you are, it’ll be great to get out of the house for walks, especially in those first couple of months when you don’t know what to do with him. He’ll be just getting to the point where he can entertain himself as the weather cools down. Seriously, impressive timing!!

Ibotta is good but Checkout51 is better because it is not store specific.
