• I Have 11 More Random Things to Tell You

    March 19, 2014

Hi, guys! Happy Hump Day! I can’t believe it’s already Wednesday. I feel like Monday and Tuesday totally flew by! Anyone else?

So, this is going to be another one of those all-over-the-place posts where I tell you lots of random things (just like this one). I feel like I am all over the place with my life and thoughts lately, so I figured I’d combine everything in one blog post and just go with it. I hope you enjoy it!

I’m all about spring/summer footwear lately! Since I can’t really shop for new spring clothes (well, ok, technically, I can for maternity stuff), I’m obsessing about shoes. I’m loving these Embellished Thong Sandals as well as these Black & White Striped Thong Sandals. Can I just have them both, please? And, of course, I want these Colorblock Boat Shoes from TOMS (love). I might just need to buy them. I seriously love my TOMS lately. So comfy. Basically, I want ALL THE SHOES.

Since a lot of you guys asked about my homemade iced lattes… I make them in my espresso maker from my friends at Nespresso. It’s the greatest thing ever. It literally takes me 90 seconds to make an almond milk iced latte from start to finish. The pod refills actually aren’t that expensive, and the espresso tastes incredible. I’m a huge fan of this machine. (You can also make hot drinks with it using the steam wand on the side.)

I have an applesauce problem, like a bad one. It’s the most amazing food to me right now, and I can’t stop eating it. I’m going make my own homemade applesauce next!

Baby Haupert has been sooo active lately, especially at night. He basically doesn’t stop moving, and I can feel him rolling and bumping around for hours at a time. Is it possible for babies to be too active? I really think there’s some CrossFitting happening inside my belly.

I planned to make these Mint and Chocolate Fudge Oreo Bars for St. Patrick’s Day, but I never did. I still think I might need to make them, right?

Reebok has the most adorable new shorts on their website right now, and I want them all. Is it spring yet? And can I rock a huge baby bump with shorts? Yes? I guess I would just need a really long shirt.

I recently restocked on all of the Belli products that I’ve been using during my pregnancy. I actually think I’ll use a couple of them (Belli Acne Control Spot Treatment and Belli Skin Care Fresh Start Pre-Treatment Scrub) after pregnancy too. I love that they actually work and are made from natural ingredients.

I really love the way that eyelash extensions look, but I hear they’re pretty expensive to keep up with. If you have them, do you think they’re worth the price?

Murphy is obsessed with my Snoogle. He’ll even “snoogle” me out of the way to make sure he’s snuggled up nice and close to it. It’s Murphy’s world… I’m just living in it.

Mal and I bought tickets to The Book of Mormon. It’s coming to Boston next month, and I hear it’s hilarious, so I just had to purchase us a couple of tickets. Has anyone seen it?

Runner’s World Heartbreak Hill Half & Festival is June 6-8th in Newton, Massachusetts. It’s just days after Baby Haupert is expected to arrive, so I won’t be running, but I will hopefully be there spectating and possibly doing the 2-mile Dog Run on Saturday with Murphy (if I’m feeling up to it). It all depends on Baby Haupert’s plans! Anyway, just wanted to share a few discount codes with you if you’re interested in participating. These codes are valid for 10% off registration of the 5andDime (blogcarrotsncake5&10), Half (blogcarrotsncakeHalf), and Hat Trick (blogcarrotsncakeHat).

I just got eyelash extensions and I love them and I have no intensions of going without. I can go without any makeup and people think I am wearing it. I can wash my face roughly, just keep away from my eye area and as long as you use oil-free makeup remover, you can wear eye shadow and eye liner. I love, love, love them.

Also, the Book of Mormon is so so excellent!

Wow you weren’t kidding about being all over the place! Hahaha. great post. Felt very fast paced. Yes! You need t make the St. Paddy treats! Do you even have to ask?! And the shoes are a must. Get them all. I love the embellished sandals. Very pretty.

New and exciting in my life…let’ see. Yes I am moving in two weeks so lots of crazy happening at the mo here. Boxes piling up and stuff everywhere. It’s like a land mine trying to walk around my house right now LOL! Other than that, nope all calm (yeah right!) on this front.

It’s so fun to read your posts and hear about your pregnancy. I had a little boy 3 months ago and it is soooo amazing. I craved orange juice a lot at the end and drank a ridiculous amount of it in a week. A friend brought me homemade apple sauce after he was born and it was a great nursing snack. Looking forward to seeing your homemade recipe!

The book of Mormon is HILARIOUS!!!! They somehow managed to offend everyone equally so no one can be mad, right?

I have also been dying to try eye lash extensions!! I have a lot of allergies so I have this enormous fear of it causing my real lashes to just fall out….anyone have super sensitive skin and gets them?

Love the sandals. They’re so cute! I love to shop for shoes too because they always fit unlike clothes. As for The Book of Mormon, since I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I’ve read the actual Book of Mormon several times, and my husband and several of my brothers were missionaries, I find it degrading and insensitive to those of our faith. However, it has made a lot of people ask questions and want to know more of our faith, so by all means, go watch it and then talk to the real missionaries about what is true and what we believe! :)

My son was a ninja in utero. He was crazy active all the time. When they introduced doing kick counts to monitor that he was active enough per day I laughed! I would hit the 10 kick counts that you’re supposed to get in an hour in like under 5 minutes. He’s 4 months old now and he’s still very active. Register for a jumperoo if you haven’t ;-)

Oh wow those fudge oreo bars look amazing! I think mint and chocolate is one of the best combinations ever. It’s sweet but refreshing! Sounds like Baby H is going to be a pro Crossfitter by the time he’s born! The most exciting thing happening in my life is that I’m going to San Diego on Saturday and I cannot wait. I also splurged this past weekend and bought my first designer purse (a big purchase for me) and it’s supposed to arrive tonight, so I’m really excited :) And I also discovered an amazing brand called Bite that’s made of food grade ingredients and uses citrus peel in their matte lip crayons. I got the Clementine color and not only is it an amazing orange shade that looks great on my fair-ish skin, but it smells like oranges! I’d label this week as a “win” :)

Did you read about Gina’s (Fitnessista) experience with eyelash extensions? Just a word of warning there…

My parents loved Book of Mormon and I would love to see it! Had no idea it was coming to Boston…may check it out!

I made crock pot applesauce back in the fall and it was delicious. If you live near a beauty school you can get a great deal on eyelash extensions.

I would totally skip that eyelash extensions, they WILL ruin your natural eye lashes. At BeautyBlenz we have a had a lot of women that get them done and look they great but after a few month, they actually impact and stop your own eye lashes from growing properly and it takes 6 months to a year to get back to normal for MOST people. Your natural eyelashes will think out and seem to get shorter. Once you stop breastfeeding, contact me we have some way better natural solutions. :)

I used to get my lashes done every 2 weeks for the past year and a half and I just got them off a couple of months ago. Getting them off was the best thing I’ve done! I was a slave to getting fills and at the place that I went to in Back Bay, it costs $80+tip, so almost $100, every 2 weeks. As nice as it was to have long lashes without makeup, it would drive me crazy when one or two of them would get twisted out of place. I will say, I used revitalash everyday when I had them on and my lashes weren’t damaged at all!

I bought my mom Book of Mormon tickets for Christmas and we just saw the show in Hartford this weekend. It was hilarious! My mother, who teaches at Catholic school, alternated between dancing along with the music and having a horrified look on her face for laughing at the jokes. We had an amazing time and I’m sure you will, too!
