• Love Snacks? NatureBox Review & Giveaway

    November 19, 2013

Love snacks? Me too! I typically eat 2-3 snacks each day—one of which is almost always something sweet after dinner. (Hello, dessert!) So when NatureBox reached out to me to try one of their snack boxes, I was all about it. Healthy, personalized, and delicious snacks? It sounded great to me!

NatureBox is a subscription-based snack box, delivered right to your front door, that helps you discover and enjoy healthy snacks on a monthly basis—it’s perfect for use at home, the office, school, etc. Their products are made from wholesome, nutritionist-approved ingredients, and abide by strict quality standards:

    • No High Fructose Corn Syrup
    • No Partially Hydrogenated Oils
    • No Trans Fats, No Artificial Sweeteners
    • No Artificial Flavors
    • No Artificial Colors

NatureBox is available in 3 sizes at 3 different price points:

    • Deluxe Snacker (5 bags for $19.95)
    • Happy Snacker (10 bags for $29.95)
    • Smart Snacker (20 bags for $49.95)

A monthly box always ships for free (with the exception of Hawaii and Alaska—shipping is $1.97), and each bag included is full-size and has 3-5 servings inside.

NatureBox is all about their customers loving everything about what they’re eating, so you have a few different snack options each month. A snack expert will send you all new snacks to try or you can select new snacks by logging into your account and choosing from over 100 different options. Additionally, if you liked the snacks in your previous box, you can request them all again or add additional snacks to your box. I love this flexibility, so you can get exactly what you want!

Here’s what I got in my first NatureBox:

    • Big Island Pineapple
    • Lone Star Snack Mix (BBQ flavored nut mix with multiseed chips)
    • Sun-Dried California Peaches
    • Lemon Pucker Pistachios
    • Sweet Blueberry Almonds
    • Country Ranch Sunflower Kernels (bonus snack)

In the past week or so, I’ve tried every single snack that I was sent and love them all. Mal tried most of them too, so we pretty much fought over our favorites. The Lemon Pucker Pistachios and Big Island Pineapple, for example, are long gone! Both snacks were incredible.

The Lemon Pucker Pistachios have this amazing, tangy lemon flavor, and you know how it is with pistachios: once you start, you can’t stop! Long gone.

The Big Island Pineapple smelled just like fresh pineapple and had so much flavor. They were my favorite snack in the box!

I loved all of the other snacks too, and now only the Country Ranch Sunflower Kernels are left, but only because the bag was a huge serving!

When it comes to snacking, I’m all about getting creative with flavor combinations and making sure each one has a satisfying mix of carbs, protein, and fat, so I’m not hungry just a couple of hours later. That said, here are some delicious snack suggestions for just about any craving!

    • Sweet: Sun-Dried California Peaches + a piece of dark chocolate
    • Savory: Lone Star Snack Mix + a couple of slices of Monterey Jack cheese
    • Crunchy: Lemon Pucker Pistachios + baby carrots
    • Creamy: Plain Greek yogurt with Country Ranch Sunflower Kernels mixed in
    • Fruity: Big Island Pineapple + Sweet Blueberry Almonds

Now that we’re all hungry, here’s your chance to win a free 6-month subscription to NatureBox (the Deluxe Snacker subscription)!

To enter, click over to the NatureBox snacks page, see what they have to offer, and leave a comment on this post about which snack you would most like to try if you won. Please note that this giveaway is open only to readers within the United States.

If you would like to try NatureBox for yourself, you can get 50% off your first box of any size (valid for new customers only) with the code CNC50 at checkout. (FYI: The code is not valid on gift subscriptions. Sorry!)

I will randomly select a giveaway winner on Thursday morning.

    Good luck!
