• Reebok CrossFit Nano 3.0 Review & Giveaway

    July 27, 2013

In honor of the 2013 Reebok CrossFit Games this weekend, my friends at Reebok are giving away a pair of Reebok CrossFit Nano 3.0 to one lucky CNC reader!! Yay!

    reebok crossfit nano 3

I received a free pair of the Reebok CrossFit Nano 3.0 from Reebok yesterday, so I wore them for a workout this morning, and I absolutely love them. Right before the WOD started, I actually took a minute to profess my Nano 3.0 love to Anne. She probably thought I was a weirdo, but it needed to be said—obviously, right before our Tabata workout started. Haha!

Anyway, I honestly didn’t think I would like a pair of shoes for CrossFit more than the Nano 2.0 (I love those things), but Reebok definitely hit the mark with the Nano 3.0. The fit is similar with the wide toe box of the Nano 2.0, but the 3.0 is a lot more supportive and flexible all over, especially in the sole, which, of course, is essential for all of those functional movements you do in CrossFit. There’s also a soft plastic “DuraCage” on the outside of the shoe, which protects it from the usual wear and tear of CrossFit. Similarly, an extra durable “RopePro” is built into the inner sole to help prevent rope climbs from destroying your shoes like they’re known to do. I really love that Reebok worked with real CrossFit athletes to develop the Reebok CrossFit Nano 3.0. It definitely shows. They thought of everything!

In comparison to the Reebok CrossFit Nano Speed, I like the Reebok CrossFit Nano 3.0 a lot more. They’re just an all-around awesome shoe. The Speeds are great for running, but I prefer the Nano 3.0 for CrossFit overall. The Speeds are quite a bit more narrow throughout (I notice it most in the toe), so they move differently during WODs. Maybe I’m just used to the Nano 2.0 and prefer that wider, roomier fit. You could always buy both shoes and wear the Nano Speed for running WODs and the Nano 3.0 for everything else. But if you’re deciding between the two shoes, I’d definitely go for the Reebok CrossFit Nano 3.0. They’re cushy and supportive, so they’re good for running too. (FYI: They’re not as hard and flat as the Nano 2.0.)

    Giveaway time!

I hoped over to the reebok site and checked out their stats. The 3.0 sound and look super fun. My Favorite Feature: their versatility…which is showcased in the fact they allow full foot dispersion for greatest stability. Whether running or climbing a rope…this shoe seems to have the characteristics you need to perform well :)

I really like the Dual Density for rearfoot stability and impact protection. I don’t have the right sneakers for the training I’m doing because they don’t have this feature!!

Hey Tina. I just posted a review of the Nano 3.0 on my blog over at http://wlshoes.com/review/reebok-nano-3-0/ It looks like the men’s and women’s shoes are about the same as far as performance but I wonder about the fit – I had to go down a half size from my Nano 2s.

Love these shoes. Especially that they have a wide toe base. I have wide feet and no athletic shoe yet has NOT made my feet hurt. Just starting out with crossfit and bootycamp. Need a good shoe to help keep me at it. Being a single mom with 2 boys makes it hard to afford good shoes. Thank you.
