    Happy National Carrot Cake Day!!!

    National_Carrot_Cake_Day

National Carrot Cake Day is also the day that I published my very first post on Carrots ‘N’ Cake. Crazy coincidence, right? Every year since then, I’ve celebrated both of these special occasions on February 3rd:

I still can’t believe a little online journal to keep me motivated to get in shape for my wedding day would turn into what it is today. I thank my lucky stars every single day for the opportunities that CNC has afforded me. Here are some of the best from the past year:

    Lunch with Ellie Krieger

    IMG_0021 (800x600)

Hi, guys! I just got back from having lunch with Ellie Krieger. No big deal. Lunch This afternoon, Kris, Karen, and I met Ellie at Cookshop for lunch. (Kris and Karen are the PR folks from the California Grapes Commission.) Cookshop was a great spot for lunch.

Featuring beer, wine, specialty spirits and delectable dishes this weekend extravaganza has something for everyone. Wine and beer enthusiasts can select from over 1,000 brands or enjoy tastings of specialty sponsor spirits. Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...

    Whole9 Recap

    006_640x480.jpg

The Whole9 Seminar was awesome. It was exactly what I expected and really helped me connected the dots with regard to my health and ulcerative colitis. The ‘9’ in Whole9 comes from these 9 factors, which Melissa and Dallas Hartwig, the creators, believe are all important for optimal health.

Getting After It (Canton Road Race Recap)

    ReebokCantonRoadRace

This race recap can be summarized in five words: get after it and holy crap. On Saturday morning, I ran the 8th Annual Canton Road Race at Reebok Corporate Headquarters. When I arrived, I found Elizabeth and then the other Fitfluential ambassadors (Sarah, Robin, Katie, Mattie, and Kelly), who were also running the race.

Hello! I’m having a blast at Fitbloggin’! My morning started bright and early with a 4-mile run along the water with Monica and Lindsay. The inner harbor was gorgeous at this hour of the day. Reebok Blogger Event: CrossFit WOD

    boston19.jpg

Well, hello! Long time, no talk. I had quite the whirlwind weekend, which was packed full of fitness, fun, and friends, so I didn’t have a chance to blog. Sorry about that. Let’s rewind to Friday morning!

    Mohegan Sun Girls’ Weekend

    reebok-event-110-750x564.jpg

Ok, where did we leave off? Biking adventures, right? After our biking tour of Mystic, we headed back to Mohegan Sun for an afternoon at Elemis Spa. Each of us were provided with a spa service to review, so I chose a deep tissue massage.

I started reading your blog two years ago when I thought it was healthy to be a perfectionist about everything you put into your body. You have taught me that through incorporating exercise and practicing moderation, being healthy does not call for limitations. I have loved seeing your transition into more strength based workouts and how they have been paying off! Thanks for the inspiration!!
