If loving you is wrong, I don’t want to be right.
Ever since tasting Buttermilk Syrup a few weeks ago, I have not been able to get it out of my mind. It has truly changed the way I eat pancakes… and waffles.
Despite how amazing Buttermilk Syrup tastes, the recipe is not at all healthy. It’s definitely a treat. The recipe calls for 1.5 cups of butter, 1.5 cups of buttermilk, and 3 cups of sugar! Well, it does make a TON of syrup, but ya know what I mean.
Poured over waffles this syrup tasted, oooh, so heavenly. But, Mal and I barely used any of it, so now I have a huge pot full of it sitting on my stovetop. I have a feeling it won’t keep well, but I don’t want want to toss it either. Maybe I’ll just drink the rest! š
This afternoon, Mal, Murphy, and I are heading up to Vermont. We have a fun-filled weekend planned, including visiting friends, drinking lots of local beer, and eating Red Onion sandwiches. Isn’t that what Vermont is all about? š
