You Are What You Eat: Tina & Mal
- Tina & Mal @ Carrots ‘N’ Cake

- Executive Assistant/Blogger/Health Writer and High School Teacher
- In general, the foods in our fridge are fairly healthy. They’re a balance of both of our taste preferences and vary slightly from week-to-week. Note: We don’t use our bottom drawers for produce because we often forget it’s in there. Instead, we put our fruits and veggies on the middle shelf, so it’s easy to see, and use one drawer for meats and cheeses and the other for bread. An empty clementine box holds “loose” produce.

Love your contents!! We buy the same kind of ground turkey meat!!!

Tina, I love the idea of storing produce right in the center of the fridge rather than tucked away in the drawers! I might need to adopt that policy

Is your fridge the finale? Thanks for sharing them all!!
Very cool series. You can tell everyone cleaned their fridge before taking the picture. If I took a random shot of mime without prep it would probably not look appealing (I also live with 2 dudes who eat alot of ‘dude food’).

Ha – we never use the drawers either. Too many icky forgotten food incidents!

Yay, Tina and Mal’s fridge, love it!

I always put my produce front and center! It definitely helps me eat it more often!

Great idea with the empty clementine box!

I love this! I put my ready-to-use produce on the top shelf (because that’s “Shelby’s Shelf”) and store all the extras to use later in the drawer.
Great idea with the clemintine box! I always have stuff rolling around!

@Mel @ She Runs Brooklyn: Oh no. There’s MORE! Are you sick of them yet?

I also love the idea of keeping fresh produce on the middle shelf instead of in the drawers. We often forget about the veggies hidden way down there and then they go bad before we can use them. I will have to see if I can get my family to change their ways with our fridge

Yay- someone else who has an old-school fridge like me! Smart about the produce in the line of sight!

I didn’t know Mal was a high school teacher! That’s so cute
What does he teach?? I think you should do a special on him and his job, that would be fun.
