Yesterday afternoon, I drove to the Milton Hill Sport & Spa for a 60-minute, post-marathon massage. I cannot explain how much I was looking forward to it.

Unfortunately, when I arrived for my massage, the front desk had no record of my appointment. Major wah. The guy at the front desk felt so bad, he rescheduled my massage for today and tacked on an extra 30 minutes for the inconvenience. Now, that’s what I call customer service! And the massage was great! It was totally worth the wait!

After my massage, I headed home to get Pimple Face Murphy to take him to his annual check-up at the vet. When Mal and I noticed that Murphy had an appointment coming up, we decided to wait to take him to get his weirdo pimple checked out. It turns out it’s probably just a huge zit. The vet gave us steroid cream and told us to watch it for the next couple of weeks. My dog is so gross.

After the vet, I headed to Starbucks to get some studying done for the NASM exam.

While there, I enjoyed an eggnog misto (steamed eggnog + coffee).

The barista actually spelled it this way two different times, so perhaps she really thinks it’s “eggnot”? Haha.

Lunch

I didn’t have a chance to make lunch until nearly 4:00 PM (and, weirdly, I wasn’t all that hungry), so I threw together a cheese quesadilla with leftovers from last night’s tacos, a side salad with roasted Brussels sprouts, and a couple of chocolate chip cookies.

I’m meeting friends for pub trivia tonight, so I’ll probably eat dinner (and drink beer) at the bar.

  1. My favorite way to relax is to go for a run or a bike ride. No matter how much I don’t want to, I can’t help but smile when looking at the passing scenery.

  2. My favorite way to relax is with a good book, refreshing drink & yummy snack, snuggled up on the couch with my hubby.

  3. i relax in a hot bath with runner’s world. i read it (and ruin it with bubbles) and get psyched up about running when i’m sore and in need of inspiration.

  6. There is nothing I find more relaxing than sitting all curled up by a roaring fire, pj’s and fuzzy slippers on, sipping on a hot mug of hot chocolate and reading a great page turner (all the while my pup Thunder is snoring on my feet). 🙂

  7. My favorite way to relax is to lounge on the deck on a summer day with a cold drink either reading or soaking in the sun 🙂

  8. A night (or day!) of relaxation for me includes curling up on the couch and watching movies….sounds very nice right now! 🙂

  9. I love relaxing with a good book. I must have the essentials while I’m reading: a cozy blanket to snuggle up in, hot tea, and a comfy couch.

  10. Definitely my favorite way to relax is now with my kindle in the window nook at my apartment- its perfect when the dog is relaxed with me!

  11. My favorite way to relax is curled up on the couch with my kindle or magazine and a cup of coffee. Doesn’t hurt if my boyfriend is at the other end giving me a foot rub 🙂

  12. My favorite relaxation time is a glass of wine in front of the fireplace after a day of skiing. Nights like that, we’re all too tired to make dinner, and cheese and crackers fit the bill 🙂

  13. My fave way to relax is to take a nice long run on a fall morning. It’s so quiet and beautiful with the changing leaves.

  14. My fav way to relax is to eat dinner in front of the tv, while watching a movie with my hubby! We do it almost every night and it’s my favorite!

  15. Well, it used to be putting on pjs and sitting by the fire with a good book and a mug of tea. Now that I am a new mom it is just the times when there is nothing I need to do and snuggling with my little boy!

  16. If the weather is nice, I love to go on a nice leisurely walk with family or friends. When it gets chilly, it’s snuggled up on the couch with hot tea and a good movie!
