Tourists in Harvard Square

Mastermind Weekend 1/16

Hey there!

I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots ‘N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.

An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

Chandra, Monica, and I spent the afternoon as tourists in Harvard Square. We wandered around, explored points of interest, snapped photos of those points of interest, and spent way too much time window shopping in Anthropologie.

Of course, we had to visit Harvard Yard. I miss my old stomping grounds!

I said ”˜hello’ to my old office window. It was bittersweet.

While at University Hall, Monica and Chandra gave John Harvard a little rub (on his foot).

After wandering around Harvard Yard for awhile, we popped into Crema Café for a beverage.

I ordered a very refreshing Moroccan Mint iced tea.

After that, we headed to Tory Row for lunch where we met Jayne, the company’s Events and Communications Manager, who treated us to an informal blogger lunch.

I started with a Shipyard Ale.

As an appetizer, the four of us shared a cheese plate.

For my meal, I ordered the Bacon Flatbread, which I absolutely loved the last night I ate at Tory Row. It has smoked bacon, Vermont white cheddar, baby spinach, and Bermuda onion on it. So yum!

In fact, I raved about this flatbread pizza so much, a quote from my blog ended up next to the menu outside the restaurant!

After lunch, we stolled along the Charles and caught up.

MarTINAs are on the agenda next!

  1. Gosh…all those sights in Boston might just motivate me to include it in my husband’s and my itinerary when we explore the US next year(we hope).

  2. What an awesome meetup!

And only window shopping at Anthro? I am both impressed by your skills but sad for you that you didn’t partake, just a little$$ in some Anthro finds 🙂

And that cheese plate shot…IN a restaurant, WITH a point and shoot, you totallllllly nailed that shot. I am totally impressed by that shot 🙂

  3. Oh no! Don’t touch the foot. Student urinate on it all of the time. The admission office even warns visitors not to do it.

  4. i swear there is a thing with Vermont cheese. I used to live there, and anywhere I go if the cheese is described as “Vermont” i go for it and it NEVER let’s me down! things are just better in VT 🙂

  5. It sounds like you guys had a really fun day! All of your walking around is getting me really excited for spring in Boston – I can’t wait! 🙂
