Hooray for productivity! My To Do list had no chance against me today! In fact, I accomplished so much, I’m taking the rest of the night off. Wahoo! :mrgreen:

Snack

Mid-afternoon, Mal made a batch of cheesy bread, so I nibbled on a few pieces to hold me over until dinner. (I think it’s the artificial butter spread on top that I like so much. It’s eww, but yum at the same time.)

Dinner

For dinner, I made a recipe from Fitness magazine for Peanutty Thai Noodles With Sugar Snap Peas. Initially, the recipe was a little bland, but I added more soy sauce and peanut butter, which seemed to do the trick. I liked it!

I also made some Honey-Roasted Sweet Potatoes using this method.

The Honey-Roasted Sweet Potatoes tasted like candy to me.

For dessert, I’m enjoying a warm mug of chocolate-raspberry hot cocoa. I’m heading straight to the couch with it after I finish this post.

Virtual Running Group

So, I’m thinking about organizing a virtual running group on CNC to train for the National Half Marathon (and possibly the Run to Remember). Basically, it would help us stay motivated and accountable while training through the winter. (I know that I definitely need the support!) Let me know if you’re interested.

  1. I’m not running the National Half, but I am running the GA half which is the weekend before, so I’d be interested. What about doing a virtual running group for spring half-marathons in general? That’d be great!

  2. I’m glad you posted that sauce, bc whenever I attempt peanut sauce it alwayyyyys tastes bland, or as if something is sort of “off.”

    I can’t believe you guys got so slammed w snow! We only got a sprinkling in D.C., thank goodness.

    I also have some questions for you if it is ok. I have been contacted by a group similar to Team In Training, it is called TeamChallenge. I’m curious if you have ever heard of them and if you have, are the reputable. I am new to running and especially to charity team runs. Please e-mail me if it is ok to ask you questions

  11. Tina…lets train together! Seriously! We can meet somewhere in the middle or Boston…I can start sending you the speed workouts I get too. I usually do them on tuesday either on thee treadmill or outside.

  12. I made the honey roasted root vegetables for dinner tonight and OMG they were even better than I thought they would be! They were absolutely delish! I am going to have to incorporate them in more often, thanks for that recipe tip! And mmmm cheesy bread. You can never go wrong with cheese and bread together. They were meant to be 🙂

  14. Yum! Those sweet potatoes look awesome! I feel like you’ve really come a long way with your sugar habits. For some reason, I’ve been having trouble lately. I need to take some hints from you on how to conquer it.

  15. I would LoVE to be part of a virtual running group! I live in a small town and there isn’t much of a running group here. I think the virtual group would be just perfect to keep accountable!

  16. VRG sounds so great! I’m probably doing the Run to Remember, too, but any chance to train with other people (even if just in spirit) is awesome!
