Taking the Night Off

Mastermind Weekend 1/16

Hey there!

I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots ‘N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.

An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

Hooray for productivity! My To Do list had no chance against me today! In fact, I accomplished so much, I’m taking the rest of the night off. Wahoo!

Mid-afternoon, Mal made a batch of cheesy bread, so I nibbled on a few pieces to hold me over until dinner. (I think it’s the artificial butter spread on top that I like so much. It’s eww, but yum at the same time.)

For dinner, I made a recipe from Fitness magazine for Peanutty Thai Noodles With Sugar Snap Peas. Initially, the recipe was a little bland, but I added more soy sauce and peanut butter, which seemed to do the trick. I liked it!

I also made some Honey-Roasted Sweet Potatoes using this method.

The Honey-Roasted Sweet Potatoes tasted like candy to me.

For dessert, I’m enjoying a warm mug of chocolate-raspberry hot cocoa. I’m heading straight to the couch with it after I finish this post.

Virtual Running Group

So, I’m thinking about organizing a virtual running group on CNC to train for the National Half Marathon (and possibly the Run to Remember). Basically, it would help us stay motivated and accountable while training through the winter. (I know that I definitely need the support!) Let me know if you’re interested.

P.S. Check out my TNT teammate’s recap of the Disney Marathon. It’ll make you laugh and cry!

  1. I would love to take part in your VRG! Please keep me posted on details! I have a few half’s coming up and I like to change up my training:) Have a great marathon!

  2. I’d love to participate in the virtual running group! I just put my name on the wait list for the Virginia Wine Country Half Marathon (boo wait list!) and know I will definitely need something to hold me accountable. It’s my first half so I’m a little nervous!

  3. I would TOTALLY be interested in a virtual running group for the National Half 🙂 🙂 It’s my 2nd half marathon and i’ve got some pretty lofty goals so a group of people to keep me accountable would be AWESOME!

  4. I would love a virtual running group…I’m too shy to ask people at my local gym if I can run with them, a virtual group would be perfect to keep me on track for my second half mary in May.

  5. I’m not running either of those races but would like to train to run another half marathon, so I’d love to join a virtual running group!

  6. I would love to be apart of the half marathon motivation group. I am training for my 4th half marathon in april. And every week you need support and encouragement to keep going and get to that race! haha
