Sunday at Bare Cove Park

Mastermind Weekend 1/16

Hey there!

I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots ‘N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.

An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

Going to the park with these two adorable guys totally made my day. I love them so much and we have a lot of fun together, so I’ve been in such a great mood since we left Bare Cove Park this morning.

Today’s park adventures included lots of running (by both humans and pug).

And plenty of picture-taking (as usual).

After the park, I threw together a quick lunch of leftovers: homemade pizza with an Almond Flour Flax Crust + sweet potato wedges. It doesn’t look like a pretty lunch, but I promise you it tasted delicious!

And now I’m killing the rest of a large container of Chobani Greek yogurt as an afternoon snack.

I’m off to finish the rest of my Sunday To Do list. I already cleaned and organized the refrigerator, which was surprisingly a very satisfying task. I highly recommend it, especially as a healthy way to start off the New Year!

Enjoy the night, friends!

  1. I just finished cleaning the kitchen, including cleaning the fridge and prepping food for the rest of the week- such a great feeling! Oh, and I of course had some “help” from our new little pup ;P

  2. When I lived in that area, we used to bring our dog’s to Stodder’s Neck. I didn’t know of Bay Cove Park, but I bet it’s really close to where we used to go?

  3. i wish there were dog parks like that here. all the ones here are just fenced in patches of grass with the occasional tree. and the small-dog parks are worse! (small dogs like action and adventure too!)

love that pic of murphy in mid-air! great shot!

  4. Looks like a beautiful Sunday! We are having the same, gorgeous weather you are. I am psyching myself up for the cold weather that’s coming, Thursday is only supposed to be a high of 28 here and it’s been in the 50’s the last three days. I already have spring fever!

  5. I find cleaning the fridge and pantry to be two of my favorite chores. Any other type of cleaning, not so much. I also love chobani, I buy 2-3 of those tubs a week. I love to freeze it in little ramekins because it reminds me of my favorite tart fro-yo 🙂

  6. I had the same type of morning…bringing my 2pizza dogs (and hubby) to the park &feel threw the ball around for them to chase!

I cleaned out my fridge&freezer before food shopping yesterday, love when its clean &feel organized !

  7. Cleaning out the fridge is a really smart thing to do at the beginning of the year! Specially because typically you have some hidden nasties in the back lol ;D!

  8. I think the tastiest meals are sometimes the ugliest. And there’s something so rewarding about killing a big tub of yogurt when it gets close to the bottom.

I simplified and did a clean sweep of my fridge and cupboards about a week ago. It helped me realize I’ve got some goodies hiding away that I’ve been meaning to try. Agreed that it makes ya feel better! 🙂

  9. I always love to organize, leaves me feeling so successful and productive 🙂 I recently watched this show on Style network called “The Amanda’s” and its about this woman who is a professional organizer. She is WAY hardcore haha, but it definitely inspired me to become more organized..

  10. Oh man, Sunday to-do lists are the best. I love nothing better than setting up my home for a new week with laundry done, house tidied, fridge organised, and bathroom and kitchen sparkling. I feel like everything else is so much easier when there is order and tidiness.

That park looks beautiful! I love getting out into nature and just soaking it up. What a lovely Sunday!

  11. There is something about cleaning and organizing which gives a surprisingly satisfied feeling. I did it with my closet last weekend and have been saving so much time in the morning while getting ready for work – love it!
