I registered for another race!!!

I couldn’t resist the Half of Quincy. It’s practically right down the street! Is anyone else running this one?

Check out my race schedule for March:

I am officially a crazy person. Four races in one month!?! It’s definitely ambitious, but I know I can do it! After March, my racing schedule gets really light, so it’ll be a nice break.

Breakfast

I figured photos of adorable dogs would be much more enjoyable than photos of my oatmeal and iced coffee, so I skipped this morning’s post, which might be a first on CNC. I don’t think I’ve ever skipped a breakfast post since I started this blog.

Lunch

For lunch, I busted out the leftovers again. I had a couple of pieces of pizza from last night and finished off the Honeyed Carrots and Oranges. I also drank a second iced coffee with lunch.

I finished off the meal with a piece of Oreo cheesecake. It’s Cookie Friday after all! 😀

Workout

I was not in the mood to exercise this morning, but I just did it. A lot of the time, the hardest part for me is changing into my workout clothes. Once I’m dressed, I’m good to go.

At the gym, I peddled along on the elliptical for 30 minutes and then went to Body Pump. We did the 76 release and somehow I made it through the entire biceps track with my usual weight and didn’t rest once. Yessss!

The first time I did the bicep track on 76, I must have rested 4 or 5 times, so I’m pretty proud of myself for making it through today. I love knowing that I am getting stronger!

Valentine’s Day Scavenger Hunt

Thanks to everyone who entered my Valentine’s Day Scavenger Hunt! I received almost 500 entries! Here’s your winner: Ruby X!

Congrats, Ruby! I will email you shortly!

OpenSky Giveaway

I forgot to announce the winner of the Le Creuset 3 Piece Cookware Set! (I’m such a space cadet sometimes.) OpenSky picked the winner and notified her earlier this week. Her name is Sarah.

Congrats, Sarah! OpenSky shipped your prize this morning, so you should receive it soon.

Question of the Day

What’s your most recent fitness achievement? Let’s hear some bragging!

Doing a few last-minute things and then hitting the road. See you in Vermont! 😎

P.S. Vote for Julie’s Clementine Pound Cake in this week’s Food52 recipe contest. You will need to create an account in order to vote, but Food52 is a really cool foodie site. It’s worth the extra couple of minutes and you’re helping out a fellow blogger.

  1. Haha thanks for allowing us to brag :). My most recent fitness achievement has to be loosing almost 30 pounds and also, being able to stick to a cardio/strengh training-toning schedule for the past 4 months. Im very proud of myself. My next challenge will be to maintain this lifestyle for this year and then for the rest of my life! 🙂

  2. The only kind of cardio I like doing usually is Zumba, but my new gym doesn’t have it! Aaaaah! I’ve always wanted to run, but I get bad pains in my calves and outside of my feet. I never knew of intervals till you posted about them a while back, so I’ve been doing walking/jogging intervals on the treadmill and LOOOOOVE it!! I’m starting to get in longer periods of jogging without hurting and I love it!

  3. I just signed up for the Half in Quincy, too! I am running the half in Hyannis this weekend, and couldn’t wait to do the next, of course! Oh…the craziness of being a runner! 🙂
