On the Menu for Tonight

Mastermind Weekend 1/16

Hey there!

I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots β€˜N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.

An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

Hi, friends! Just a quick post since I still have some packing to do before I leave for Washington, DC bright and early tomorrow morning. (Why do I always leave packing until the last minute? Gah!? I never learn.)

Obviously, I’m super excited about the trip, but I have to admit that I’m really going to miss my favorite guys.

Aren’t they adorable? They’re fun, too. I wish I could just pack them in my suitcase and take them with me.

On the menu for tonight: white wine.

Packing, showering, and then heading straight to bed. Early flight to DC in the morning!

Good night!

    1. @Sarah: I second that remark about that apple looking amazing, and now I am TOTALLY wanting some caramel apple myself!!

Also, mmm wine. I don’t usually drink it on a regular basis (cause I often have tons of homework to do after dinner for the next day) but I’ve seriously grown to love wine. Nothing pleases me more than a delicious wine with pasta/chicken and mashed potatoes/burgers/steak!

  1. I’ve never had a caramel apple before but that looks fantastic. And my guess is that you can’t go wrong with caramel and an apple. πŸ™‚
Hope you have a safe fight! You should definitely go to Oyamel or Zaytinya. 2 of my favorite DC restaurants, both located near metro stops as well!

  2. I allllways pack last minute too. I have come to accept the fact that packing last minute somehow works for me haha

Murphy looks so big with Mal! And of course so cute too!

I was walking around the South End on Saturday and saw a little pug outside the patio of a restaurant watching his owners eat… His name was Biff! Too cute!

Have a safe and fun trip to DC Tina! πŸ™‚

  3. I just got into DC tonight for work and HOLY HUMIDITY!!! Be sure to pack some anti-frizz cream or a hair tie–I look like Monica in Barbados right now! πŸ˜‰

  4. just wondering how you have been feeling-i know you were having stomach pains this summer. since we havent heard anything I will assume that you are feeling much better! which I hope you are-stomach pains are the worst (and always scary to think that something serious could be wrong). enjoy your trip

  5. Yes, yes, yes, YES!! Mal is holding Murphy like a baby! That’s the only way that I would hold my beagle. I thought that it was normal to hold a dog in such a delicate way. It also taught me when I was 20 years old, how to hold an actual baby.

  6. im so glad someone else in this world likes a good steak. i always feel bad because i feel like the odd ball in the blogging world that is not a vegetarian! but i just cant give up my meat!
after watching food inc i have tried to go with more local cuts but you dinner looks absolutely delicious!

  7. Thats sounds like such a perfect night (minus the packing). Dinner looked great and your boys are just too cute. Have fun in DC!

  8. I once packed for 1 week for the Caribbean HOURS before we had to leave. lol. Once we were driving, I realized I forgot bathing suits. Seriously. The uniform of the freakin’ Caribbean!
