Nice Little Sunday

Mastermind Weekend 1/16

Hey there!

I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots ‘N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.

An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

I had a nice little Sunday today.

I slept in.

Ate breakfast.

I had a toasted bagel with cream cheese, fruit salad, and iced coffee with soy milk.

(Do you like my new placemat? My friends, Erin and Mike, gave it to me yesterday as a housewarming gift. I absolutely love them!)

I went to the gym with Mal.

Ran 5.5 miles in 49:59.

Went grocery shopping at Whole Foods.

Came home and made smoothies for lunch.

In the mix:

Took Murphy for a long walk around the neighborhood with Mal.

Snacked on banana bread.

Cooked Asian Rice Noodle and Shrimp Soup for dinner.

Ate it while catching up with Friday’s episode of Ellen.

Satisfied my sweet tooth with a bunch of dark chocolate almonds.

Relaxed with M & m for the rest of the evening.

Good night, folks!

  1. Almonds are the best! Have you ever tried Squirrel Nuts? They’re almonds roasted in sugar and deliciousness. My favorite kind of nut!
    Jess : )

  2. i spent my Sunday at PUGFEST! and though we dont have any pugs (we have a beagle, standard poodle, and a bearded collie) it was many different kinds and colors! the puppies are to die for cute! hahaha our dogs had a great time and i think Murphy would have too

  3. This may seem like an off the wall question, but I value your Mommy doggie advice since Murphy is such a cool, well adjusted fur baby. I have a one year old chihuahua-Bella- who is the moon and the stars to me. She lights up my world. My cat, who used to be the queen, lost her regal status to my baby Bella. Well, Bella’s parents just had another litter and I am thinking about getting her a sister. My Bella is the perfect dog, but I’m gone a lot-full time job plus other responsibilities-means that Bella is home a lot alone. I thought this new doggie might be a good partner to keep her from being lonely. My husband thinks she is the queen and will not want to share her crown with another dog. Of course, we love our Bella so much, we don’t want her to change. So….what is your take on a sibling dog? Would you consider getting Murphy a brother or sister one day? I need your advice! Thanks =)

    1. I know lots of people with two dogs (or more), so I think it’s probably a good idea. But, we probably won’t get Murphy a sibling. We do well as a one-dog family!
