Is that grass that I see inΒ our front yard!?! Woah. After the crazy winter we had here, I never thought I’d see the day.
The snow is really starting to melt here in Boston. I love seeing signs of spring! π I also love that the dirty, gray snow is just about gone. It’s so ugly to look at!
Workout
After breakfast, I headed to the yoga studio for a 75-minute Vinyasa class. It was very similar to the class that I took last Tuesday with lots of Downward Dogs and poses that really worked the upper body and shoulders. I have a feeling I am going to beΒ sore again tomorrow!
Lunch
After class, I headed home for an early lunch. I made a big salad with Garlic GoldΒ roasted broccoli, a scoop of garlicΒ hummus, and a drizzle of red wine vinegar on top.
Lunch also included a smoothie made with fresh raspberries, Vanilla Protein Powder, Almond Breeze, ground flaxseed meal, and plain Greek yogurt. I actually ended up drinking two 16-ounce smoothies because I made so much! Sometimes, I am really terrible with my measurements, and end up making way too much or way too little. Now, my stomach is full!

Fitbloggin’11
Exciting news: I’m going to Fitbloggin’ this year!! I was asked to participate on a panel about blogger responsibility and where we should draw the line. Of course, I’m nervous because public speaking always bugs me out, but I am really looking forward to this panel. I think it’s going to be a very interesting discussion.
Have you ever attended a blog/fitness/health conference? If so, what did you think of it? If not, would youΒ want toΒ attend one?
P.S. Check out myΒ motivational tipΒ for commiting to early morning workouts on WomansDay.com!

Yay for SPRING! I am SO ready!!
That’s awesome you’re on a panel at Fit bloggin. I think it would be so much fun to attend a blogging conference!
I definitely want to attend healthy living summit this year! Last year I just started reading blogs and I was like oh wow all these people are going to the same place to talk about blogging how weird! And now I can’t go a day w/o reading blogs!
I don’t think I would ever want to attend a food or healthy living blog conference, but I would love to do a meet up with many of the blog friends I have made!
I totally want to attend Foodbuzz this year! π
Congrats on the speaking gig! That does sound like a very interesting topic, can’t wait to hear all about it:)
Aw shucks, was hoping I would win π Your salad is so pretty today!
Thank goodness for spring–even I was getting tired of seeing all of the snow in your photos. It was never ending! Tough winter in the NE.
Congrats on being on a panel for fitbloggin 11! I wanted to go this year, but I have another conference on that same weekend. Will look forward to your recap.
congrats on fitbloggin!! i have never been to one before but they sound fun!
I went to Food Buzz 2010 in San Fran (and sat next to you on the bus home on the 1st night!).. highlight of my trip π
Congrats on being on the panel…that’s awesome and you’re going to rock it out and impress everyone!!
I’ve never attended a blogger conference before although I’d like to!
I saw the Women’s Day article — congrats on being included!
I would LOVE to attend a conference, but I’m a newbie blogger and kind of intimidated. If I can arrange the money and days off work I hope to attend one soon!
What a healthy lunch! I’d like to attend a conference like that, but I think I’m too shy π
I am so excited for spring. I’m defiantly seeing the signs of life in my neck of the woods. Congrats on the fitblog panel.
Rar. Hate dirty snow. Can’t wait to see grass poking up around here!
Oh, and never really thought much about it before but I would love LOVE to attend a blog/fitness/health conference someday.
my dream is to attend one! i don’t live in america right now, though π
I hear you on the whole long winter front. In fact, when I heard the birds singing the other day I nearly fell off my chair. Mind you, we still have snow (poor birds) but the signs are there! π
As far as a conference, I would love to go to one but it would have to be closer to me in order to be able to attend (unfortunately flights from Canada are NOWHERE near as reasonable as US flights). So unless one of the conferences is held in Vancouver, Calgary, Portland, or Seattle . . . I wouldn’t be able to make it π
I’ve never attended a blogger conference, but I would LOVE to go to one soon if I can fit it into my schedule and budget.
I’ve never attended such a conference but would LOVE to!
And that means it’s getting colder down here in Australia. Oh no!
I would love to attend a blog/health/fitness conference – just have to work it into the budget one day. :/
That is very cool that you will be speaking at Fit Bloggin!
I’ll be at Fitbloggin! I can’t wait to meet you!
I am looking forward to (hopefully) attend the HLS this year for the first time! Any dates/locations set yet?
Super excited you are going to Fitbloggin!!! Are you going to run the 5K?
YAY! I don’t arrive in Baltimore until 10 AM, so I’ll miss it. π
