It’s just another manic Monday. I wish it was Sunday. ‘Cause that’s my Funday.
The 80’s were so awesome– especially the fashion! I wish that I was born a few years earlier, so I could have enjoyed it to the fullest. In 1989, I was only 9-years-old, but I had my own “special” sense of fashion. Imagine if I was a teenager and could really dress myself!?! I would have rocked the 80’s style!
Anyway”¦
I spent my manic Monday working away at my computer, going to town on my To Do list, and taking care of my foot, which included icing via bag-o-peas.
And rolling via Tune Up Balls.
Murphy and I played a good game of “Don’t Let the Pug Get It.”
Lunch
For lunch, I reheated a slice of cheese pizza and paired it with a side salad topped with Asian Ginger Plum Dressing.
There was quite a bit of pizza leftover from last night’s showing of Spirit of the Marathon, so our hosts sent us home with almost an entire pizza. Score!
After lunch, I enjoyed four Salted Oatmeal Chocolate Cookies, which were also leftover from last night’s get-together. (I really love these cookies!!) Then, Murphy and I went for his long walk of the day and we made a video about it! 😀
Now, I’m off to be tortured at the dentist! Meh. 😕
I hope your Monday is off to a great start!

Happy Monday! Leftover pizza is the best 🙂 So were the 80’s!
I’ve become so much more active after getting a dog! Just taking them for walks can make a huge difference in my mood by getting me outside and moving!
Cute video. Love seeing Murphy in action.
Hehe I LOVED Manic Monday when I was little! I was born in 1988 but my parents had the Bangles CD and I pretty much thought it was the best thing ever. Good luck at the dentist!! 🙂
sounds like your monday is fantastic! love the pizza/salad combo…that’s a perfect lunch if you ask me!
Meh… I don’t like the dentist either! I just had two wisdom teeth pulled last Thursday (thank goodness I healed VERY quickly) and I have to get my stitches out tomorrow morning.
Murphy is so sweet — he seemed kind of camera shy though 🙂
Leftover pizza and a salad sounds like a great lunch to me!
Thanks for the video! We just started leash training our puppy and I can’t wait until we get to walk for 45minutes like you.
my SO is a dentist, dentists they get no love :o(
but he is used to it and just carries on as professionally as possible.
i hope your feet and your teeth feel better!
Mondays are never the best, but I suppose we must all make the best of them. Back to the grind!
Laura
I had to go to the dentist this morning too. Booo.
Good luck at the dentist. I HATE going… and my Dad is my dentist. Whoops… :/
heehee I love Murphy licking the ground. My parents dog does the same thing (he is quite skilled at finding frozen pears in the snow).
I wish I would have had more time in the 80s too. It seems like a fun time.
Aww I love the walk video!! “Murphy found something delicious on the ground.” Hahaha yup, sounds like a dog thing to do!!
Good luck with the dentist. I absolutely hate going to the dentist. I’m waiting for one of my best friends to become a dentist so hopefully it will be slightly less horrible when I go.
Ah I hate the dentist, even though my teeth always feel super clean after. They always ask questions when they have all this equipment in my mouth!
I hope your foot gets better but it sounds like you have a good plan for your 20 miler!
Dogs are a great motivator, no matter how sick or tired you are they always need their walk. Are those your new tennis shoes?
A few of my favorite songs come from the 80’s.
My current “happy song” is “500 Miles” by The Proclaimers.
And what I wouldn’t give to live just a week where crimped hair would be all the rage… sigh…
I watched The Spirit of the Marathon the night before I ran my first one. It totally got me motivated! I actually cried at the end when everyone was finishing.. sad i know. hahah
haha, great use of the peas!! I will have to do that tonight as my runner’s knee has ben bothering me… again.
You poor thing, it seems like you’re at the dentist every other week 🙁
I’m glad I was a kid during the 80’s, because I loved rocking the grunge look in the 90’s.
Ahhh, The Bangles were my absolute favorite band when I was a little kid! “Eternal Flame,” was my favorite song and I even have a tape recording of me singing it which I never plan on listening to … ever.
I hope your foot feels better!
Those cookies sound amazing!!! And isnt leftover pizza always better? I like to eat it cold 🙂
Good luck at the dentist! It is my least favorite place to be 🙁
So, I never really got that song. When I was a kid, Sunday was homework, get ready for school and go to bed early day … today, it’s chores, get ready for a week of work and go to bed early day. But Friday night or Saturday — those are my fun days! 🙂
Like so many others, I despise going to the dentist! My teeth are super sensitive, and I think my fists are clenched the whole time I’m there.
After you posted that recipe, I made those cookies…delicious!
ahh yes the 80s! There really is nothing like them is there?!
every monday i sing that song to myself. i love the bangles.
Happy Monday! Hope your foot is doing better and all goes well at the dentist.
I LOVED the Bangles!!!!
Hope your foot feels better! You are making me hungry for pizza!
That song is always stuck in my head, every Monday…haha. 😀
Hope the dentist visit went well! 😀
i saw the Eggland’s Best Ad with you in it in Women’s Day! I was reading along and there you were!
@Tami: It’s out already!?! How exciting!!! 🙂
Leftover pizza is the bomb! I’m not a big fan of leftovers, but pizza is my one exception! 😛
I have no idea what Manic Monday is… I guess being born in 1989 makes me too young for it. 😛
How funny, I was at the dentist just yesterday! Hopefully all goes well with your visit 🙂 And then, more pizza 😛
I was all about the crimped hair in the 80’s when I was in elementary school. I can’t imagine what I would have looked like if I was a teenager either. Although some of the 90s fashion isn’t much better!
I just baked the salted chocolate chip oatmeal cookies and am typing with one hand and eating one with the other. 🙂 They’re delicious! Thank you for the recipe!
I just have to say your salads are awesome! Always so colourful and full of variety, looks like my salads 😉
xoxo
I made your Salted Oatmeal cookies last night, and they are awesome!!! Thanks for sharing the recipe.
